Not sure it relates to your situation or not. Do you need a fax machine for customers or clients to submit information? myfax.com did the trick for us. We dumped the extra line here at the office, and went with their program for $10 a month. You get your own number, and you can send/receive your faxes by email.

So far pretty impressed with the service. You can also transfer their number to them. Check it out, let me know what you think.

We use www.MYFAX.com ...best thing ever. Same thing...$10 a month and no hassles after 3 years.

I have a Lexmark 4 in 1 copy, printer, scannner, and fax. I went through Time Warner Cable and set up my fax on its own number. Its not baddly priced. Its only 14.95 more a month on my cable bill.

I have a 4 in 1 here but I don't remember the last time I used it. I probably send/recieve less than a dozen a year so I just use the local Staples store. Last time I sent one out it was less than 2 bucks

Shirl has one here, it uses the Vonage service. Neither of us uses fax much ~ email has pretty much superseded it. But boy, it does come in handy when it's needed.

The most times I've ever used fax was when I was job hunting. You can get yer resume directly to the recipient quickly. And I believe a lot of doctor's offices use 'em as well.

If my faulty memory serves me correctly we haven't had anyone (customer-wise) needing anything faxed to them in over 3 years.

Scan it and email it.

YMMV

we got the email-fax thing at work.
saves us from alot of running back and forth
and saves a few hundred trees as well!
