The ones that are featured in the video that Sonic-vision posted are 8" portable battery powered speakers. I'm not sure about the difference between the ones I bought 8 years ago and the originals other than the color. Mackie Thumps are probably on their 5 or 6th generation by now.

I'll take that bet.

I forgot we're talking about the Thumps 8 inch battery powered speaker. I was stuck on the speakers my partner tried to get me to buy. For a ceremony or cocktail hour that speaker should do well. As stated if used properly things should be fine.

My partner was playing in a spot using the Thumps and blew one of the speakers because he was pushing it too hard. He didn't need to play the music that loud because the space we were in wasn't that big. It was in back space in back of this Popup shop.

I can blow the Yamaha DSR speakers if I don't use them properly even though they are a better quality speaker than the Thumps.
