No, it requires vendors and presenters.
You have to build it - if the expectation is that anyone will come.
They keep it in Atlantic City because it’s close to the tri-state area with the highest concentration of people. At A/C Majority of the people drive in to A/C. It is reachable by car from over 8 states and at least 5 airports if you rent a car. NYC would likely be their first choice but that’s way too Expensive. In the 80’s I attended the New Music Semiar conferenc in NYC. Those shows where great with evening events at many of the big clubs. Years ago DJ Times tried LA. Las Vegas is where the other guys are, FL would have too many distractions and wouldn’t be cheap. The only places I will consider flying into would be LA, Vegas, Orlando maybe Miami, Chicago or Dallas. Vegas by far is the Easiest the fly into, between CES, Mobile Beat & Nightclub and bar conferences I’ve been there too many times.
No doubt!NOLA would be a good place to move it...At least we'd have better food options.
Just a reminder that discounts and "free" Exhibit Hall passes are available until June 15th (though the dates were extended last year). Not really sure if the show will actually happen, but doesn't hurt to at least grab the free passes "just in case" if there is a possibility of going ...
DJ EXPO 2021
Atlantic City, New Jersey – The 2021 DJ Expo will run in August 2021 in Atlantic City. As always, DJ Expo – an annual exhibition/conferencewww.djtimes.com
Maybe they'll have it outside ..True. ...Just in case.
However, I can without a doubt say that the show will be cancelled! Hotel/Casinos up there are not even open, and Jersey is not allowing any large gatherings of any kind for a while. ...(The exception are outdoor protests/riots/looting...Corona Virus apparently does not effect people who choose to participate... )
I updated the First post to reflect the date change of DJ Expo to the week of November 16-19.

AC always seems like it's on life support when we're there in August. I can't imagine how exciting it will be in November.
Potentially true .. or maybe this will be a boost for everything (the area and its economy).
As for a supermarket, that's most likely a local Gov't issue - and not a business issue (AC isn't exactly .. big).
Atlantic City also has no movie theater, no bowling alleys, and no recreation centers.
BTW, I love to duckpin bowl...invented in Baltimore and a few still exist.
