This is where I will be this coming Saturday. Very high end Venue. It is the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center in North Houston. I am going to do a site Survey sometime this week. The Manager of catering was out for one week and is due back today. If she does not call back by tomorrow morning I am going over there with or without an appointment. It is about 45 mins from my house when traffic is light.

I went and did a site visit yesterday. In the top pic, the area/glass building jutting out on the water,to the right of the fountain is where I will be playing. There will be enormous challenges. The whole building is made of Glass with only one back wall. I will only take two of my Scoops as I am fearful that 4 scoops may shake that ballroom to pieces. The whole roof is also made of Glass Panes. The Room is called the Glass Room, it even has a Glass enclosed walkway that leads to it. Very elegant, this place. I will post pics that I took later. Gotta run to an appointment now.

I just finally want to see a picture of these scoops that you keep mentioning you have. I don't doubt they kick azz.

Canute - You should mount some receptacles on the subs and use a sub pole to fly the 802s ... I think it would look cleaner. They have crank types for those as well.

I can't. There is already a Handle imbedded in the top and adding another hole will compromise the integrity of the structure on the top. I had considered putting a Pole sleeve along the back.

Now those are serious. They remind me of the Earthquakes I used to have. I've heard you use those in a bar. Wow that must be one hell of a big bar. I used my 2 Yamaha powered subs in a bar once just to see what they would do. That was my first time every using them. I just wanted to see what it would sound like. It was awesome and way too much over kill for the bar. I moved them by myself which is something I would never do again. I'll say this much I know to move those you want a nice price. That's what i figured for us to move those earthquakes. You got 4 of those and I know that's got to sound like a club system. Great pictures of them. I need to post some pictures of the speakers I have in the basement. I'll do that later.

It won't look as good as the way you have those setup unless i struggle to put the poles in the subs and mount te tops in the poles. With my bad back that's not a great ideal.

Just got a call from the Venue. They forgot that there will be a Magician who has to be on a raised stage. Stage would not be big enough for both of us. I told the Events Director that as long as there is no less than 3' space on each end of the wall for Speakers and Moving HeadLight, it would not matter to me. I can set up my Booth anywhere. She promised that she will honor that request. I am going up a bit earlier just in case they have to move anything.

Seems kind of silly to set up a stage for a 30 minute act when it is going to be empty the balance of the night. Then they had the balls to ask me if I can provide a Lavalier Mic for the Magician "Hell No!". Let him bring his own damn Mic. If it was an Emergency during the event I won't mind helping out but not beforehand. I have a nice Light Show planned out for them but if they piss me off I will cut back on it! One thing I know for sure. I am NOT putting them scoops in front of any Glass Panes. It has to go against the wall. They shake everything in front and behind them.
