Ccleaner is for the unwashed masses such as myself who want to maintain their system with just a few clicks here and there. It has done a fine job for me over the years. if you install and then uninstall programs it will get rid of bits and pieces that get left behind in the registry that WILL clog things up and slow your system down. It gets rid of lots of other stuff if you tell it to and it has lots of different things it will do.
Every now and then I run it and it finds lots of things to clean up. I click a few times and it's done. Simple, easy, fast and effective. Some folks may not need it, I certainly do and I'm glad I found it a few years ago. I ought to send them some money to thank them . . .
