Bose configuration

I saw the same setup that Ron was looking at. Now that I know the whole story about who told the Bose owner how to set it up for optimal sound, I've come to the only reasonable conclusion as to why this configuration was recommended:

It requires an additional $60 to $80 worth of balanced 1/4" cabling. A bonus sale, if you will.

If the GC guy was as good an audio tech as he is a salesman, he'd still be working for Aerosmith.

Brendan,
You know this had nothing to do with the DJ's. I think very highly of them. I was just confused as to the setup. I see your point about the sales, that would figure. I thought the same thing that if this tech was so good why work at GS. It's like going to Home Depot and expect to get a seasoned professional contractor working in building supplies. It just don't happen.:sqwink:

And thanks, I thought is was just me.

One of my brothers applied at Lowes for a job but they turned him down he was over qualified with 30 years as a contractor!

1/4" balanced cable is "bass line out" ONLY !

Channel 1 and channel 2 are actually looking for mic inputs, thus the difference in amplification of the input signal to the internal amps, 1/4" unbalanced versus xlr. Channel 3 and channel 4 are looking for musical instruments thus there is no amplification of the signal period. 0 is off and 12 is wide open just like any other stand alone slave amp you've ever used.
