Standing good for the back Vinyl?

Let me steal Fred's term.

That's because you're still a pup. Give it another twenty years.

Standing still? No.

I have heard more reports of moving being better for the back than NOT moving.

Another thing that I have learned and tried and seen to work is, if you MUST stand, and it IS possible, then stand with one foot on something elevated, about as high as a step.

I am sure that this is not the same for everybody ALL of the time.

But I shall let you know in twenty years.

There are extenuating circumstances as well. The type of shoes worn, the type of surface you're standing on etc.

I agree that walking about is better for the back than standing in place for hours.

I stand for all events. I spin CD's and the events are from 4-6 hours. I usually eat before my events or on the way home after. I will also have a drink or 2 if offered by the host of the event.

I try to stand and keep active/moving for the whole event.

One thing that I have found helpful, is that we bought some of those square rubber mats that lock together from Sam's. I usually make sure I have about 10 of them with me, that way I can use as many as I need to cover the floor area behind the table.

We also purchased some inexpensive folding bar stools from Osco's or Walgreen's and take those along for the moments that you just have to take a load off the feet for a few minutes.

Oh here we go again

- to sit or stand

That device is no more! Peeps have been looking for the SitStand for years and to no avail.

P.S. To answer your poll questions:

to sit or stand - SIT
eat or dont eat - DON'T EAT
to drink or not to dont drink - DON'T DRINK (Alcoholic beverages)

to have sex or dont have sex - HAVE SEX (But not during the reception or mitzvah)

to be gay or not to be gay - NOT BE GAY (Seems like it would be a real pain in the Azz, literally & figuratively)

I stand and dance and sway, but I dont drink one is too many and 10 is not enough. And don't eat I'm not comfortable with that so I politely pass....

My reply should read

to sit or stand - DON'T SIT
eat or dont eat - DON'T EAT
to drink or not to dont drink - DON'T DRINK (Alcoholic beverages)

to have sex or dont have sex - HAVE SEX (But not during the reception or mitzvah)

to be gay or not to be gay - NOT BE GAY (Seems like it would be a real pain in the Azz, literally & figuratively)

I left a don't out

Auctioneer: Gentlemen! Please take your seats and the auction will commence.

Thank you.

Gentlemen, I am here tonight on behalf of Le Chiffre, of whom you will have heard, to auction this unique collection of art treasures.

Are there any specific bidding instructions?

Russians: When we sit, we are bidding. When we stand, we are not bidding.

Americans: We'll do our bidding sitting down. When we stand up, we're not bidding.

Chineese: We stand, we bid. We no stand, we no bid.

Auctioneer: And the British representatives?

British: Well, I don't know actually. A bit of both, I suppose, really.

- Is that all right with you chaps?
- That's fine.

Of course that was the sit or stand dialog from the 1967 version of Casino Royale.
