I am on my way out this game otherwise I would invest in the newer stuff. I still don't think I would go powered speakers though, maybe it is because I have the Electronics background and for the most part know how to build, hook up and match stuff. I am either going to do it right or not all all. The day that I find what I am doing is strenuous, I will quit. This is why I have everything mobile on wheels and rarely have to lift anything except my DJ Station about 115lbs without the Case Cover. Manufacturers today are capitalizing on the fact that all the young ones are in competition with each other to see who has the latest and greatest so they are coming out with new features and gadgets all the time.

What they do is instead of making it a four channel version they make it 2 channels and cut the price down a bit. They are just trying to get those people who couldn't afford to buy the first one that came out to be able to afford to buy the second one. They also usually strip a few features off of the new one. They try their best to keep it close to the original one as they can but since the frame is smaller they can't have all the features added in from the first one.

The problem I find with a 2 channel controller is what if you want to use something else along with it like another CD player or 2. You can't do that with a 2 channel controller. Now these companies keep coming up with stuff just to compete with each other trying to get people to buy the latest thing that comes out. The old saying for me is true. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'll get a new controller when I see I need a new one. Right now what I have is working great. If I did get one it would be something inexpensive to use for backup just in case my Denon failed me.
