You're the one that said if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, or something to that effect.

I guess that's why you have me on ignore, because the stove is getting too hot for you. You talk down to us, yet get peeved when we return the same. WTF!

If you would stop being such a condescending individual -- people might like you more -- just a thought... :)
We get that you have a lot of health issues and are not happy with your life as it is but why rain on another persons parade?

Here's a tip for you. The serenity prayer. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

I don't pray -- I don't believe in invisible people on thrones in the sky. Aliens, on the other hand, I do believe in...

And why do you keep saying I'm not happy with my life? I just don't like a few people. You try to read too much into this sh_t dude. Go get yourself a beer or three, and learn about a sense of humor.

After you quit the DJ business, are you going to be a therapist next...

This is true...
But my point was this guy can afford to do a lot of good with his money,
instead of spending 9 million on a one day party!
I doubt his bank account won't even notice...
where as MY budget can put that $25 to good use feeding MY OWN family.

Mike, I hold you in high regards but if you don't mind, I'm going to take to task what you've said, as it's a pet peeve of mine. It's not aimed directly at you so please don't take offense.

People who throw darts at "rich people" for not doing what they (the poorer person) thinks they should have done with their money irritates me. The part that irritates me isn't their complaint, it's that the complainer almost never, ever, ever puts their money where their mouth is. We working stiffs will gripe about some rich dude that didn't help the poor and yet, most of us don't contribute a single dime towards it either. You may think that $25 is meaningless but keep in mind, whether you're faithful in little or faithful in much isn't the issue. The issue is whether you are faithful with what YOU have charge of. Until a person has lived out their own charity, don't gripe about someone else's decisions with their money and yes, I live mine out, thank you very much.

No offense taken...because I was NOT complaining.
I was NOT dissing rich people for spending their money...
I was simply pointing out that there are more charitable ways to spend 9 million dollars, than to throw a party.
(which I assumed was the point of the thread)

As for me, $25 is quite often what I have leftover until my next paycheck...
so I need to take care of my family, before I can consider helping someone else out.
Since I cannot donate CASH, I do plenty of work for charities, mostly Veterans Events.

How much does he give to charity now?

Forgive me if it seems I was criticizing him personally.
That was not my intent.
I was just thinking about what could be accomplished with 9-million dollars.

I don't believe you've confused anyone -- I think many of US, are still trying to figure from which rock you crawled out from under.

Carry on English Professor -- or get a gig DJ'ing...
you said this and you wonder how I made the conclusion you're not happy with life?

Go figure.

You are somewhat confused I believe. I am not happy with certain PEOPLE (let me spell that again for you PEOPLE).

It's usually the ones that have no sense of humor, and are condescending to their peers.

You also need to learn the term "venting" -- it's what keeps you from exploding. It's better to get certain things off of your chest in a light hearted way, then to look at things too deeply.
