Weddings Weddzilla.com??

To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!
I would say yes. Dr. Drax has new benefits coming out almost on a monthly basis. You should go to adja.org and look at the benefits. They offer quite a bit.

Now locally is where it's really at. If you get with a strong local ADJA chapter in your area, you can benefit tremendously. I am guessing the Central PA ADJA is closest to you. I don't believe it's very active, but they could probably use a hand.

ADJA members also get discounts to trade shows, seminars, and you get all the free advice your heart desires from people like Scott Faver, Williams, - can't rmember the others of the top of my head.

Oh yeah - The "Dj in need" program is great. You lose your equipment in a fire (example) they give you free equipment to use until you get your own.

To be fair, I would check other Associations too. You need to research them for yourself. Don't always take an "opinion" on a board about associations.

I signed up for the "free" listings on the zilla site and one other (which Jon Tuck turned me on to and I won't mention in this thread) just a few days ago.

I have received no leads from zilla as of today, but the other site has already sent me six leads, four of them I have answered! So far I have booked one gig for June 2009 and have one pending until they locate a venue for August 2009.

Steve offer to secure a venue and any other needs and reap the rewards. I did it and it is easy. We naturally as the elders have the resources in our back pockets.

Actually, brides put there ads up on Weddzilla. You have to check the site to see if a bride has posted a lead in your area. A free listing on any site will probably not get you much work, but may get you exposure.

You should mention the site (we're not in your area) :sqwink:

HOLY CRAP

I replied to this post about WEDDZILLA
and by the time I got to the last post
It was all about ADJA

I should stop skipping to the end!

But since you guys took it in a different direction
what EXACTLY does ADJA do for us....
and I dont mean in a vague "improve the image of DJ" kinda way
this is not PRO or CON
and I'm not looking for an OPINION
just wondered if it was REALLY worth the cost

Hi Mike,

I am one of the local leaders/acting Central PA President here in PA and I would love to answer your questions about the ADJA, our chapters and the many benefits of belonging to the organization. Please PM me your number and let me know when a good time would be to give you a call.

Over the past few days I have talked to some DJs from PA at the Mobile Beat convention and signed them up. Great things are going to start happening here for those who are serious about building and growing their business!

If we all worked together, imagine what we could do!

lol and I have just read it all

what can I say its crap crap crap on the website anyway

any exposure you gain for free is free gratis. Dont bite the hand that feeds is all I will say.
