Just saying "hi!" as I'm new to this board (not the industry, just this board).

Looking fwd to sharing info here.

Welcome to the board Todd tell us a bit about yourself

Welcome!!!

hey Jeff glad to have your presence enjoy this place and help build the sharing and caring which goes on daily here. Please tell us more about Original.

A little about me (TMSOriginal / DJ Todd Stein)...

I first started as a DJ on radio in 1985 at the age of 15 -- yes I had my FCC license then as well. I worked radio during high school & started DJing Jr. High dances as a high schooler -- I worked my way through college on various radio stations & in mgmt of the college station, while doing mobile work on the side.

In 1992, when I graduated college, I started as a VJ for a club in Des Moines & the club earned the 'best dance club' title under my tenure, I left on-air radio work then as the clubs paid more then. I worked the club scene FT for apprx three years then decided to go into restaurant/bar management & offered my mobile service on a very PT basis on the side.

In 2001 I went FT with my company, Live Super D.J. Service, with a focus on wedding reception entertainment -- added karaoke in late 2001/early 2002, to 'fill in the gaps' weekdays with bar gigs -- added music videos in 2006 (at the same time we discontinued promoting karaoke, but offer it as an add-on).

I owned & operated a sports bar w/ nightclub-like-elements from July 2005 to June 2008, when I closed it in the black due to personal health, desire to spend more time with family & the economy.

I am still running my entertainment services FT -- and have added an interesting live music concept -- but, to be completely honest, while my bar was open I kind of let the mobile service slide & did not maintain my contacts, promotions/marketing, memberships, and did not actively seek bookings so now I find myself basically rebuilding the service's reputation & I may be looking to go PT & get a more 'traditional' job as well (if that is possible in this economy).

I've mostly been on another industry board & found this board via facebook & decided to check it out.

Many of you may know me from another board, as co-founder of the Iowa Mobile DJ Network (IAMDJN) (which has changed to a MAPDJ chapter), as a former member of NAME, ADJA & MAPDJ or seeing me at Mobile Beat or MAPDJ conventions or maybe not -- either way, I am an open-minded business person who is willing to share knowledge & always willing & ready to learn more!

I look fwd to my future experiences on this board.

Yep, DJ Brad D still works with me -- he was my Entertainment Director/Resident DJ @ my bar before as well. He's doing fine -- keeping busy w/ his day job & his duties w/ Live Super DJ Service & his other projects.
