Mounting a camcorder to truss

I want to mount a regular camcorder to a globaltruss. Has anyone done this, and if so, what hardware did you use?

Whatever you use remember most camcorders time out after a few minutes and most even shut down if not touched. So controlling them can be a hassle if you can not reach them.
