If you haven't heard it yet, you are in for the "hottest" new song to be released...4 minutes (to save the world.). I got the pleasure of hearing it from a friend who works for her label...the kids are gonna love it.

Its due to be released the end of March on Prime Cuts.

I give it 3 weeks and it will be remixed by some of the best remixers in the Biz.

The radio stations are just starting to air it. I'm sure if you have Sweet 16's in the next month its going to be one of the most requested...be ready!

If you read my post on new music I commented on this track about 2 weeks ago.

I am still playing it but so far it's a dud. I figured it may pick up steam in the second week, but with no major radio play yet. It is no winning crowds over.

It may be that even with the help of Justin and Timbaland, Madonna is simply past her prime.

I will give it until the end of the month and see what happens, if no luck I'm pulling it until I start getting some rerquest.

Sorry Cam, must have missed that post...I am actually in the process of trying to remix this song myself with my cd players...have 2 that I'm going to try live next weekend, I will let u know how it works out.

I agreed with you in that post Cam but it seems its going to grow on folks like it did me also the latest Brittany Spears single. Anyone had any luck with Paula Abdul's latest?

This song bombed on me saturday. But I will keep on trucking and I will play this thing until it hits. Madonna may be a little dusty, but she still rocks in my book. The MILF's at my gigs go nuts for Madonna.

I think a hotter bassline and drum track would spice it up proper. Something like what XMIX or one of the better services does to them.

I heard it, it's an ok song, but I'm not sure that it's a blockbuster. The only good thing that Cam had commented on was the fact it is not the same old, same old. I'll let you know how I make out with it this weekend.

People like hearing what they know. If the song does take off people will want to hear it and will dance to it.

I just listened to it and it sounds pretty good. I think I was expecting something a little bit faster but it's ok.

Charlene: I just checked with our programmer and it looks like it will be on this week's PrimeCuts (HP200812).

I heard it for the first time yesterday on XM - Here's what I think:

1.) Nothing beats CLASSIC Madonna. Just like with many other heritage acts, nobody's interested in hearing the new stuff.
2.) The Timbaland sound needs to go away for a while. "The Way I Are" and "Apologize" were great records, but "Scream" stalled at radio. Having great beats only gets you so far. The big hits right now are all about the melody.
3.) Madonna probably won't do much promotion for this album. It's her last album for the Warner group and she's already moved on to LiveNation.
4.) There really isn't a whole lot of Madonna on this song. Maybe someone will remix it and take away all traces of Timbaland.

I've heard a couple more songs from the Madonna album.....I won't touch them...they're terrible!!

4Minutes has been on the radio here on the West Coast for atleast 2 months now, I have yet to get a request for it.
