Justweddings.com

Has anyone ever heard of, or use justweddings.com. I received a call from a rep from them offering a free vendor listing. I looked up their website and seems to be a east coast based. I looked at their leads page and there from Jersey, New York etc.

I would take the free listing from anyone who offers.

I've been noticing a huge increase in freebies being offered by even established sites.

First there was Facebook offering $25 in free advertising credit.

Now, "Eventective" just gave me $25 in free lead credit!

Last week I finally gave in and got my free listing in WW, even though I hate Martha Stewart. Why? They made the bottom of Page 2 in Google, a good sign they are gaining on our market. (Last year, they never cracked above Page 3/4 in wedding DJ searches)

I recieved the same phone call... I couldn't talk to him at the time... but gave my email.

I did get information from him supposidly an offer for a free ad... what is not said is the cost of purchasing leads...

This site is self contained and seems to be a bit of a bitch if you ask me because in order to get a list of vendors you have to jump through hoops by putting your information in first then you have to wait for an email response from justweddings.com before you can even get to a list of venders and or quotes....

I got what I can only catagorize as a sales pitch email saying they have a lead for me... with this astronomical budget... 1k to almost 2k.... I call Bull ****! I don't even have an ad with them or an account much less... how the hell could there be a lead for me.... answer me that mister wizard sir...

I don't like these backward kinds of sales strong arming... YMMV

I received an email from them recently. Just hit Delete.

This sour economy has online "listing services" popping up like daffodils in the spring. I don't trust 'em and have no intention of getting involved with them. In every case where I've listed with one of these outfits I've been spammed and telemarketed to death. Stop logging in to their sites and the chit stops.

All they're doing is harvesting business info and selling it.

I was skeptical about Eventective as well.

Probably had deleted about 60 of their leads, before they made an offer I could not refuse.

I've used $5 of the free credit already.....but have turned away about 10 more since last Friday (no phone number was given).

On the two I "purchased" (not really, they gave me the credit) -- both had phone #'s.

One of them is likely to book....its a Friday nite reunion ($699, 4 hours, casual).

When I see her retainer check (next week) -- expect to see DJ-MC posting on the Eventective thread, 'eating crow'.
