I like most of it. The DJ should be in a more basic font and I don't like seeing the word WORRY anywhere on a card, no matter how it's used. Use something like 'Creating Outstanding Events' or something to that effect. Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative; as they say...

I like the black one it stand out the most and I agree with Steve always accentuate the positive.

Nice to see you around Zac

I like the white background one .. then the black .. the gold is too soft.

I also agree on simplifying the "DJ" and I would make it smaller and the Zac larger to match Barr.

Thanks for the feedback thus far. The gold has also been done in a platinum, as well as a straight up yellow/gold. On my business cards, I opted to go with a grey-scale. Since I own the copyright and have all the vector files, I can do pretty much anything that I want!

As for the "worry" part, I don't see that as a negative. It is a vey pragmatic approach, and one that not many are willing to risk. My guarantee to my couples is that they will NOT have to worry that anything under my direct and immediate control will go wrong. What I am selling is elegance and peace of mind.

"You relax. Let ME handle the details." And I am well-compensated when I do so. :)

Keep it coming, all!

(And as an FYI, during the design process, I consulted with about three dozen current and former brides who offered feed-back throughout. I felt it more important to get a bride's/woman's perspective, than that of a male DJ who has seen the same thing time and time again (no disrespect intended!)) I am still getting great feedback that I am SURE will be incorporated down the road!

First, props for using a vector and not a raster... The number of DJ logos I've looked at put together in Photoshop makes me sad inside.

I like the design, and unlike one of the above comments I like how you worked the "Dj" into the dress on the bride. I'd actually take it further and work the groom's foot into the B by getting rid of the vertical line in the B and pulling his whole leg and foot up so the sole of his shoe forms the vertical of the B but that's just me.

I won't comment on whether or not "Let ME worry about your event" is a good choice of words or not because I tend to over think those things when clients probably won't but I will say I think you should lose the gradient on that text. It makes it difficult to read especially when it's smaller. Match it to the text of your name.

I had to erase a bunch of the B just because I don't have the layers but something like this:

Nick James - Thank you. I have a couple of versions already where the tagline loses the gradient because it does make it tougher to read unless quite large. I also REALLY like what you did to incorporate the groom's foot into the "B". I may have to go back to my designer and revisit that!

The black background looks best at this point. The gold background is really nice, but the bride and DJ don't show up good enough and should be a darker color for more contrast. I also like the DJ font that flows with the bride. That's the best part IMO.

The background isn't (or at least I hope is not) part of the logo. The different coloured backgrounds are just to show the versatility of the logo. You never want a solid squared off background on a logo because it will look horrible when superimposed on a flyer or other piece of marketing material with a different background. The fact that the black background version has a white groom and text is a common practice in logo design where one makes a light and a dark version for placing the logo on backgrounds of different colours. For example the symbolic Nike check is white when on on a dark background but is black when on a white background.

I'm on my work computer so I cannot do anything super fancy since I don't have Adobe here but lets see if I can illustrate the issue with backgrounds on logos in Paint...

Notice in this example the "logo" is unintrusive and sits well in the corner:

In this example it looks like someone put a clip art logo on top of the image in Microsoft Word:

If your designer ever gives you a logo that doesn't have a transparent background... fire them and ask for your money back.

Cheers, I really do like your logo.

If your designer is unable to make the changes or wants to charge you an arm and a leg send me the ai files and I'll do it for you.

"You relax. Let ME handle the details."

I thought of the same thing as Ron. That is a great slogan.
As an advertising copywriter....
this is much more positive and really offers a personal touch.

As for your logo,
the picture is nice, but does it suggest that you are a dance instructor, MORE than it suggests "DJ"???

you are a dance instructor

Good point. I didn't think of that until I read your post. An image that represents wedding and DJ both would be better.
