Love to -- but the bro won't let me. He didn't even want me to come back up here. Even threatened to have me arrested.

He's been a complete dick about this whole thing, even though my Grandma and I put the place in his name 13 years ago. He's just greedy. I dumped tens of thousands into fixing this place up.

He's out on his 4th or 5th 3 week cruise this year right now (must be nice) -- I'm sorta hoping his ship sinks, although I'd feel bad for the other people on it...

Rick: Yes, I do. A Makita 45M6. Let me get it tuned up, chain bar replaced, and arrange to get it down to you. Do you have a garden tractor and trailer or something to haul the cut wood from the woods to the roadside? I can loan you a Gardenway 16hp. It ain't no 4x4 but it's got balls. The tow-behind garden trailer is sturdy as a rock.

Nah, but I got a big wheelbarrow, and it's all downhill to the road... I'm rigging up a tow rope to the walk behind mower (powered), to pull the wheelbarrow back up thee hill. Save a little wear and tear on my hip and knees.

Cap you have a heart of gold sir. I commend you.. Rick don't be a fool, take him up on his kind offer. Winter season is short and before you know it their will be no demand for wood. Cap's tools will help you get the job done much faster and then Hashish or what ever the hell his name is down the road can sell or buy this stuff from you that much quicker.

Rick,
I made an offer to you in another Thread. Did you read it? Not interested?

Can we please close this thread. It's gotten way off the topic! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I agree, I just don't have any way to get a tractor and trailer down here... The chainsaw he can just throw in a box and UPS it. Otherwise I would be asking Cap an awful lot to make a 180 mile round trip to drop it off, so I don't want to ask too much.

Yeah, I started to take a look at it. I've been incredibly sore this week, so I've been sleeping a lot to heal. Looks like it's running on the Joomla backend, and I'd need go get access to both Joomla and the template he used. I'm familiar with Joomla (I use it on one of my sites).

Why Mix, isnt what your threads are all about!!

Rick: I'll be in touch via landline. I have a utility trailer to load it all on and bring it down, no sweat. Let's get the rest of this off this board.

I'm just saying we've gone off the topic. Some say yes and some say no to the topic. All i can say is a client doesn't have to know everything by complete break down. Obviously to justify certain things they should know why you're charging so much. For example if you're supplying uplighting they should know the cost of that as a add on. So they don't think they are getting charged just for you to DJ their event alone. It's costing a bit more because of you supplying uplighting.

But mix all your topics are all off topic as it is......

MixMasterMachom:
I saw a website that said there would be additional charges if the event was to take place in certain city's. Additional charge for gas to go a certain distance and a parking fee when going to certain towns. Do you do such things?

For me i say no way! I say just charge a certain price and if you have to include such things in the price then so be it. Don't just separate such charges. I say if you charge more then enough then you won't have to worry about nickle and diming a client to death like that. Why should they have to pay for such additional charges? Shouldn't that come along with doing business? Just asking.
This was your original question and please accept apologies for going off track.

The best way to answer your question, which was then combined with your personal statements that dared a responder to disagree, is to run the business and set the prices, inclusive or ala carte, in the manner that makes one's business the most profitable and successful.

A quick search will also reveal that every person who says they set one price and are all-inclusive, a set dollar amount fits all, are not. There are always time and distance restrictions. Always.
