My AKG 450 receiver died and I need an upgrade, I could get a replacement receiver, but I want an upgrade
I DJ mostly weddings and private events and occasionally DJ all over the country so I need one that will work anywhere.
The Mic will be used mostly for announcements and occasional singing...

I do have the GTD audio 2 mics ..that works well. but I need a very nice microphone.

I have my eyes on the Shure ULXS24/58 or the SLX24/SM58, then I found a ULXP24/SM58 for a great price.
the SLX has a choice of G4, G5 and H5 frequency option...I'm lost on this...which one works around the country...lol

I need suggestions if I should go with either of the above OR any other suggestion...Max price about $600 ...I don't mind buying used...in good condition.

thanks in advance
cheers, d2!

Go digital and standard UHF in the G band. I use the Shure QLXD. You can buy used for cheaper, b/c they are pretty expensive, but for good reason.

All the above are good. I like the Audio-Technica 3000 series (I have 6) and the similar Sennheisers. I have a Shure SLX as well and it has been fine too.
