Hi All! My name is DJ Commas! I have been Djing for about 11 years now off and on and I decided to take it a little more seriously about 2 years ago. Im a real techie type of dude. Im the guy that has the cameras all around the house, smart Tv;s smart phone smart house as a hold. So my DJ sets are no different. I have speakers that have water and bubbles , wireless DMX, I use drobes in my set. I bring FULL entertainment when I do a show. I love being kept up on the latest tech for my DJ sets. So naturally I stumbled onto this site and I love the tight knit team that is here. So wanted to give it a go. So thats me in a quick snapshot..
I'm curious as to what a drobe is and want to see a picture of speakers with water and bubbles!

Hello DJ brothers!

I am Chris (DJ Crazy Chris) and presently my wife and I own CC&W Celebrations DJ Service here in Charleston WV. I began my dj career in 1991 doing weddings and parties for friends and it snowballed into a small business... in 95 i began dj'ing in niteclubs and bars and pretty much worked 7 days a week for many in years... in 2007 i just completely burnt out on the whole scene and retired.... i actually opened up a puppet theater for kids ...it was a way to still perform without the hassle of drunk adults and sleazy bar owners to deal with. But I digress...lol.... A year and a half ago i met the love of my life...and we recently got married... i realized i simply couldnt trust the djing of my own wedding to anyone else...haha...so i went crazy buying lighting equipment and premixing a crazy 6 hour set of dance music. She had never seen me this enthused about anything and fell in love with the idea of us restarting the business... so here i am... back at it after a 10 year hiatus. We are having a blast!! Here are some photos of our set up and some gigs.35078843_1994343667257047_2671297498642907136_n.jpg

Welcome! We had a wedding this past weekend that requested mostly country with some Tejano and Cumbia for the Mexican side of the family. Great wedding! Had a blast and nice to do primarily country music at an event.

Hello all!
Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I'm an old musician and live sound guy dipping my toe into the rave scene and was looking for a forum where I can discuss all things audio.
I'm a big EV fan, I like all things EV. Over the years I have put together a pretty awesome sound system that is diverse enough to do small gigs all the way up to fairly large events.
I been doing live sound for the past 20 years on my own, but I'm not a DJ so I teamed up with some folks that are into the rave scene.
For raves, I supply the sound equipment and my promoter does all the promotions bookings and is responsible for the DJ talent.
Though I have ran live sound for many years, I'm new to the rave scene. It's been a very interesting adventure for sure.
We don't do weddings or small back yard events. We are after the bigger events that the smaller DJ guys can handle. We are after events of at least 500 or more.
We are in the Houston area so there's lots of opportunity's to do well.
I cut down from live sound 3/4 nights a week to just 1 or 2 a month. Been doing raves about once a month for the past year.
I'm sure I'll be posting many questions and hope to get some good insight (not BS) on all aspects of the industry.
Anyway that's it in a nut shell.

Welcome to the asylum. Let me show you to your cell .. I mean room. Don't mind the padded walls, they're for your safety. Whatever you do, do NOT feed anyone after midnight - no matter how much they beg. :)
