So even though I semi retired I still get he gear itch and while I really like my Yamaha systems for small to medium events I kinda want to put together something much more substantial
Has anyone has any experience with Bass Boss I’m leaning pretty hard towards purchasing some of their stuff

I listened to them the last 2 years at the DJ Expo ... (1) I think they're on the uglier side of design ... (2) I think they outperform most everything out there (on par with Danley and JTR).

The subs push out tremendous amounts of bass .. 2 years ago at the Trump Taj Mahal in AC, they blew out many of the ceiling tiles in their demo room. This year I spent a lot of time listening to their DV8 tops .. incredible amount of sound (and bass) from a fairly small set of speakers .. I just puzzle over some of the design features like the sloped front baffle and handles at the back which are useless .. and they cost like $1800 per box .. but they were sweet sounding.

I have multiple times tried to justify to myself a reason to buy a Bassboss system. My core business is weddings, and they would be a little much for what I do. But, if you need to thump, they are absolutely incredible and I'd love to own one of their rigs.

The main thing you deal with there is that they are heavy. The single 18 I believe was about 125 pounds. I can handle my 88 pound KW-181, but I think I'd want a second set of hands to move that kind of weight around regularly.

I’ve talked to them they have a caster option for the subs which would make it just like moving my older QSC HPR 181’s which in 8 years I never lifted off the ground roll out of trailer roll into venue tip up and done

Just looking at them at the Expo this year I knew they would cost a pretty penny. They look like they are worth every penny. Those speakers look more like stuff you would use for a convention or outdoor festival. Something where a few DJs are playing to show off their skills.

I wouldn't choose them to do a wedding unless there are 750 people attending the wedding. Heh heh heh.

No crazier than using LS801ps for 25 people doing line dances :)

I just realized after making that last post I've never used those subs for 25 people doing line dances. The last time we used them was for a gay wedding for 250 people at the Galloping Hill Inn.

It was 2 females and one as usual wishing they were born a man. I have my personal opinion but it's about doing my job.

Hey, I resemble that remark! ;)

Of course, it's not really bad until it's in a 4k sq ft ballroom.................and those are all the guests they had.
