Definitely cool, but I'm not going to take the time to assemble and disassemble that thing on the spot. If I ever decide to use totems, they'd have to be assembled in advance. Being able to transport them in a small case like that would be great, but if I didn't have room for preassembled totems in my minivan (and I don't), I could always carry them on the (roof top) luggage rack.

While this is true, there is something to be said for a solid welded truss. I don't know what the weight / load differences are, but there are some. In addition, time is money - so while you may save space, you won't save on setup / teardown time.
