quite often that is the case, but not at this school. They know exactly why the kids 'revolted' and have never played the 'blame the DJ game'. We are booked there through 2022 or 2023 I believe

By the time you whittle out the songs that are offensive, the ones that are dirty, the songs that you can't dance to, and the songs that just suck, you'd be lucky to get two hours of USABLE music out of the list.[emoji1]

Not gonna lie... at least 2/3 of that list looks appropriate for a successful event. Is a list that long necessary... not at all... but the songs aren’t obscure or ones I would never play. In fact most I’d say I’d have no problem incorporating.

If music is a reflection of the society we live in, what does this say about our young people?? And no, the parents often do not know better.

I think it's more a reflection of technology.
When we were that age, the only songs we knew were the ones we heard on the radio, or American Bandstand, Soul Train, etc.
If we wanted to own it, we had to physically go to the record store to buy it.
And since we were only buying music that was on the radio...
it was usually clean cut and non offensive.
Of course, I am talking about the Top-40 of our generation(s)
