Does it matter if you use a digital mixing board?

Simple, just rent a digital board and play with it for a day or two and find out what you will be dealing with.
Both have pro's and con's so we need a little more information as to what your needs are. Boards come in all shapes and sizes with and without many features. I like analog for it's simplicity but it comes at a cost of having more gear to deal with. Digital is good because many of the outboard gear needed for analog is built in. Digital is a more powerful tool but comes with a learning curve. There are analog boards that are USB ready and offer the best of both worlds. I still like and use a DJM 5000 for my master board and let the DJ's patch into it. My biggest pet peve is how well the controls feel, are they smooth and accurate.
