Only taking 2 more bookings this year, and I am done for 2022

MC could be a popular optional add-on. It is in these quarters. At least 50% of my weddings are choosing to book me as an MC .

I'm stuck for new dance music - what are you playing - current top 5 ?

So lets see its been like this for some years , a total absence it would seem of anything new that generates people moving around a dancefloor ..This is probably my top 5 WORKING new songs and some are already 1 to 2 years old ! Let me know what your current top 5 are. Jason Derulo - Take You...

So Much Music I Don't Own...

Its a bit eclectic the list , some of it is not really "chill "like "Call me" Blondie ,which is more dance and much of it will undoubtedly be lost on most of the crowd . Since the background music isn't as "specific"" äs the dance music usually is - depending on your motivation id make sure i...

New DJ Needs Help Selecting Speakers...

You managed to write all that without actually recommending anything , lol..Some good points though. Definitely go for active speakers rather than passive. Much less hassle . Yes you need to power the amp separately if running passive then hook your mixer output into the amplifier. I have...

    Itunes is going away??

The part of technical information that is escaping you is the fact that every time you convert the file to mp3 format regardless if the conversion is at its full setting of 320 you will still lose something. "You cant lose whats not there" were not talking about losing whats not there were...

    Itunes is going away??

Of course you are re- compressing the file again so you will lose something. Every-time you run the compression to convert it, even if you are compressing it at the full 320 bit rate. So if you have an original mp3 file at say 128bit rate and you convert it to 320, you will in effect lose...

    Itunes is going away??

Ahh you are wrong in thinking that because by converting it to 320 you are compressing it again thereby losing some quality of the original 190k fike

    Itunes is going away??

Yes i knew that..I sometimes convert to WAV from mp3 because i want to edit the file or maybe because my Denon DN HD2500 only recognizes 44KHz not 48KHz. Occasionally i get the odd mp3 file that is in 48KHz .Its just that some people think by converting say a 190bit rate MP3 file to a 320bit...

    Itunes is going away??

If you convert to WAV , their is no loss. WAV does not use compression.

    Itunes is going away??

Maybe i just had a bad run with it, though its doubtful as I am very picky regarding audio quality. I purchased over 500 songs over the years and always found the audio quality pretty poor, especially in the upper frequency spectrum. Maybe they are not using good "ripping" software to convert to...

Good remix edition of DJ Beats

All the ravings about Promo Only and PrimeCuts but realistically is there really anything one has to get with the redundant crap in the current music charts? There hasn't been any major dance floor "have to have" hit for probably at least a year or more!

    Itunes is going away??

Ive never been a fan of iTunes , the audio quality was generally crap.

Good remix edition of DJ Beats

I know its quite sad in a way when we reflect back , back in the day we were paying $3 per 45rpm 7inch single.. Record, whats a record?? Whats a CD? Now the stuff is practically free. Jump for joy i guess but there's not the magic to collecting like back in the old days.
