Im picking one up for my new setup... I would go the 4D, but dont have quite that kind of budget... A&H name is built on quality... Never seen a dead board, never felt a bad cross fader... Its aways a quality product... I only know of one issue, of course it was in a night club, one of the cues...

What speakers are they... most decent quality actives have a cross over built in... the yorkvilles I use, the sub is adjustable from 60 to 120hz and then the tops have a button to press to cut the frequencies below 100hz off...

Dont know your setup, but flying the speakers off of trussing makes them look better... and it gets the sound out across the audience

The SSL Boxes (1, 3 or the 57) have the software activation in them... otherwise the software does NOT load... try it... It wont work unless one of the 3 boxes are plugged in... the Serato software is free to download for everyone, but you need a box to make it work...

My Advice is go Triangle Truss and Get some good Cranks... Hang the speakers off the Truss, fills it up a bit, saves using extra stands, and should get them a bit higher than you have them in the pic above... Honestly you will have to play around with it... on my old laptop, I had to run a cable back from the mixer out to my mic input on the PC, my current PC does monitor the outputs without having to use a cable... If you cant get it working, try adding a return line to your mic 3.5mm jack

American DJ Accu Roller 250 is something simular Chauvet Insignia™ 2.0 is also the same idea... Cant say Ive used either, but they may be worth looking into... Martin has the Mania SCX800 and is has the barrel mirror, same as the acrobat....

Have them so that the top row goes something like Blue Green Yellow Red, then the bottom row opposite, so Red, Yellow Green Blue, Should give a good effect...

For now set it up to run off music, yes it is random, but it will work for now until you learn the ins and outs of the software... It will just get the audio directly off you sound card and should give a decent light show to start...

I use a controller for alot of reasons, but even in the wedding senario, I like it just so that people can tell Im actually working, not typing an email.... Highly recommend it... Keeps thing a little more organized for myself... Plus I can do some cool mixes on it...

Enttec... used both Open and Pro... Great boxes... Wouldn't use anything else in this price range... the only program/ package that does a better job is Light Jockey, but in bang for your buck, not worth it...

Yep. The red wire is commonly hot... your second phase (180 degrees) and is usually found with your black wire to run thing like your stove, dryer etc, (220/240V) Blue is usually only found in 3 Phase, where then you have 3 colors, the Black, Blue and Red, where Each phase is 120 degrees apart...

I dont think its different down in the US... but white is Neutral, Black is hot...

2500 and 3500 in the clubs I work at... Just put the 2500s in not to long ago, look great... 1500 works for mobile setup as long as its a closed room (No windows) or its a night gig...
