I just ordered a rolling laptop bag from Ebay to use for both my laptops, HDs, Wireless dual mic system, batteries and other wires to use for the setup. It cost $120.65. They had the exact same bags for more money at a different store. I bought it brand new with free shipping. They have plenty of pre owned bags for sale but I didn't want that. I picked the one that looks like a briefcase instead of like the one I have now. The reason for buying this one is the one I have has finally fallen apart. The handle broke, it's hard to zip the compartments up and just no good any more. I paid for it with a Ebay credit card that says if you pay things off within 6 months there's no interest charge. The one I was using only cost me $25. That might have been because I have bought other stuff from them at this computer store that sells and fixes computer. Just time to get new one.

You do understand how they make money on letting you pay over 6 months, right? They know a certain % will miss a payment, or simply make one late and then pay a whopping roughly 30% interest. When I buy anything with conditional no interest, I make the payments automatic so they are never late.

Spreading $120 over 6 months hardly seems worth the effort/risk. If you can't afford to pay $120 for a bag, you should be looking for a less expensive option.

Then above the racket a voice in my jacket said, "I'll tote the note."
The devil made me do it, talked me in to it, and that was all she wrote.

I ordered another one as I was told that the first one I ordered was delivered. I never saw it. The seller offered me a refund. Hopefully I get this one. I don't know what happened. My guess is someone stole it from the porch. That's the first time I had that happen.

Here are pictures of the bag I bought. There's a interesting story to this. I ordered the bag from Ebay and I got a email saying the bag was delivered on March 7th. I never saw the bag when I checked for it. I contacted the seller and they agreed to give me a refund. So I ordered the same bag again. Then finally the first bag came. My partner said he has had the same thing happen to him. He got an email saying the item has been delivered and it's not there yet. It arrives a few days later. Now the other bag came I think today. So now I have 2 of the same bags. This is the first time that this has ever happened. I thought someone might have stolen the first bag but it wasn't. This bag is in a square shape and looks to be made much better then the one I had. It cost a lot more so it should be better made. The bag has a very nice collapsable handle, wheels and 4 compartments to put stuff in.

Are you sure the email said it was delivered… or did it say shipped. Big difference between the two, and often creates lots of confusion. Also, always check the tracking numbers on the site of the shipper, not eBay. Those are more accurate.

It said it was delivered. Like I said this was a first.

It said it was delivered. Like I said this was a first.

That usually happens for one of two reasons... if it was sent via UPS, they sometimes use the regular postal service as the "last mile" delivery service. If that's the case, your package shows as "Delivered" when it's really just sitting at the post office. It usually shows up a couple days later, delivered by your mailperson.

If it happens with FedEx, there's a good chance that the driver scanned it to show as delivered when it's actually still sitting on their truck. They sometimes do this to keep their delivery metrics up - if it wasn't scheduled for overnight delivery, they don't really care when it gets to you. They're so overwhelmed that whatever's left on the truck at the end of the day sometimes gets scanned like it was delivered that day, but you won't be able to get it to you for another day or two.

$120.65 seems like a steep price for that no-name bag though. The Swiss Army one that I posted a link to was only $90 on eBay and had an additional compartment as well as an extra removable laptop bag. 🤷‍♂️

Could you please post that link for that bag again. I just want to see it.

Considering you paid for one, you do NOT have two. You need to alert the vendor and let them decide what you should do .. by not letting them know, you are stealing.

If the seller willingly sent him a second one, he's not stealing anything. Sellers do this all the time... it's easier to send a second one at no charge than it is to be hit with a one-star review when the first one doesn't arrive on time. Arranging for return shipping is usually cost-prohibitive for the seller, as is unboxing and processing the returned item. Often, they'll tell you to keep the second one or donate it to charity.

Because the seller believed it was stolen, I would agree. Because it was not, it is now Mix's duty to inform the seller of this and let the seller decide how to proceed (which is what I stated). By not saying anything (and knowing it showed up), he is stealing.

I need to say this. I was in the other room a few minutes ago and I'm glad I went through the old bag because I found a few other things in the bag that I can use including a third portable HD and a wire to use. So now when I leave that bag will be going in the garbage. Good thing I checked the bag finally before throwing it out.

Great to hear you have work Mixy.

I'm pretty protective of my laptops & hard drives . A lot of time has been spent on Library over the years correcting tags, converting files & building crates not counting the cost of music and the hard drives. Having been an multiop at one time, Spent a few hours updating several laptops & computers.
Laptop & hard drives are treated as if they are money bags. I just don't leave them lying around to get lost or five finger discount!
My be time to write down & inventory your equipment so as to utilize what you have & not buy what don't need. 5 & dime buying adds up .
Save up and make a great purchase on quality equipment.

I found some batteries and a USB cord for a HD as well in there.
