Maid of Honor wears a Giant T Rex Costume at wedding

For many families, a wedding is about tradition. I also believe that religious events deserve a degree of sanctity. I have many friends with deep ethnic and religious ties and I would never consider attending one of their weddings in such an outfit. It would be outside of their character and an insult to them. (so Rocky, you don't have to worry about me showing up as Godzilla if you renew your vows.)

In my case, there will be no ethnic and religious elements. My friends know me to be a highly-inappropriate wise cracker (a trait I inherited from my dad). My fiance's humor is pretty much in sync with mine. This is how people know us. A stuffy event without a humor component would be disingenuous to our character. We would only ask a guest to doff their T-rex outfit if it scared my fiance's little nieces (and I doubt it would). That said, I doubt we would plan for a T-Rex appearance (unless Marc Bolan had resurrected himself). However, if it were the Knights of Ni, that would be a different story.

So, kind of like going to church on Sunday and sinning the rest of the week. Got it. ;)
You got nothing, predictably, but again, your subterfuge and BS is hereby acknowledged!

Wedding receptions are a purely secular celebration and a luxury of the highest order.

A Marriage and the Marriage/Wedding ceremony, which I admit has been almost completely but intentionally diluted to the point of meaninglessness by abhorrent and selfish people, is a serious, or should be, act of commitment, honor and selflessness. All moral and ethical tenets that far too many have discarded.

We get it Rocky .. you are going to stick with "your" interpretation on how these things should go .. just like Macho sticks with his interpretations of the advice given him. To each their own.
