Maid of Honor wears a Giant T Rex Costume at wedding

I'm sure it actually doesn't rise to the level of "it matters"...sadly and unfortunately.

No decorum or ethical sense of time and place.
I don't think an agreed upon costume violates ANY ethics (at least not one of a dinosaur) ... maybe it violates common sense, but it's evident that's in short supply these days.

I am going to start a new DJ company. It will be called "T-REX DEEJAYS"

"Looking for an awesome way to get your wedding viral on social media? Book a Wedding DJ who will show up in a T-Rex Costume while they perform for your event! You can even specialize your bridal party intro with the Jurassic Park theme song!

You, and your guests can take as many pictures as you want with our T-Rex DJ!

Costume wearing DJs are the in thing in 2020, and we don't mean clown costumes! :)

Book Now! Dates are filling fast due to all the hip brides out there booking our T-Rex DJs for their wedding!

Short arms won't be able to scratch and crossfader fap, so they aren't "real" DJs .. :)

No need to remove the explicit context.

What I wrote was "ethical sense of time and place".

Regardless, I'll address your out of context deflections:

ethics - a set of moral principles relating to or affirming a form of conduct...understandably a very subjective term.

The conduct displayed in that story is without any ethical sense of time & place decorum, respect or appropriatness, from my subjective perspective of course. It trivializes and subjugates to foolishness an important cultural and societal institution that has been under attack for decades and suffering from lazy, selfish participants.

But I acknowledge the sad rush to defend and excuse such conduct.

No .. you can put your context back in .. no moral code covers wearing a dinosaur suit to a wedding when the parties agree to it.

I acknowledge you sad rush to endorse no moral code.

I already acknowledged your sad rush to defend and excuse such conduct.

I wasn't rushing to endorse anything here .. there IS NO moral or ethical issue at hand .. sort of like if the bride wore a green dress instead of white. Maybe if the bride wanted to "marry" a dinosaur, you might have a claim.

And yes .. macadamia nut please.

My fiance and I would probably laugh our asses off if someone showed up at our wedding in such an outfit, even if it is our friend that is marrying us (although I can't see him doing so). Our wedding will be a very informal backyard affair. We are not much for pomp and circumstance. We expect our biggest wedding expense to be the wine. The food is much less of a priority.

Treating a life long commitment to family, love, honor, devotion, trust, reliance, and mutual respect doesn't require pomp and circumstance...but it deserves decorum and maturity, less it be trivialized and devalued.

I guess adultery is just some good, clean, laughable informal fun, right?

Why??? A life long commitment can just as easily be made with laughter as dourness ...
