I really can’t believe a good salesmen would let you walk away not knowing what type of processor you have when it’s one of the first things you should have discussed. It’s like buy a car and never asking what’s under the hood.
I went with Dell because I was told to stay away from HP. I found out from the guy HP was split into 2 parts. Consumer and business computers. So far so good for a used PC. It comes with a one month warranty. Just got to wait to look to reset my regular email address because I kept trying to reset my password and I ran out of trys till later.
Dell is split in to business and consumer computers too. So are most of them.
I've mentioned it before. I used to buy business lines (Dell Latitude mostly), but there is less and less difference in the builds these days. I like gaming machines for DJ work .. seem to have decent components and better than average performance. And they still cost 1/2 what a Macbook Pro goes for ...
I don't know about that. Go to Micro Center and see how much a gaming computer cost. They have some costing $1,500-2k.I've mentioned it before. You can overpay for anything. You can also know how to look for better pricing.I don't know about that. Go to Micro Center and see how much a gaming computer cost. They have some costing $1,500-2k.

This one is probably close to the current version of the one I bought a few years ago ...I bought a used Dell Latitude a couple of years ago to replace my aging Acer Laptop. It was only purchased as an interim solution when I spent my computer budget to buy another computer. As you may recall, I was debating whether to buy a new Asus gaming laptop or an iMac. I ended up buying the iMac. The iMac ended up in my office instead of my Small System, and the Acre Laptop is now a Linux Laptop. The Dell Latitude has been my primary laptop for the past two years, and it’s still doing GREAT!!! However, it was almost 4 years old when I bought it, so it’s nearly 6 years old now. That’s pretty old. It’s still running Windows 7; one of only two Windows 7 computers remaining in my inventory. Not sure what I’m gonna buy next???... A gaming PC is a good possibility. I’m not in a hurry to buy something, but not gonna wait until the Dell Latitude craters either.
and there he is asking for people to buy him things again.I have an idea, why don't you buy a brand new one for me that you want me to have? That way we can both be happy.
Good as defined by what? What are you really selling if the buyer doesn't know any difference - and then gives you 'free' stuff too? In this scenario, the seller comes off as a great person. This happens in sales alot more than you might think, especially the vehicle market.I really can’t believe a good salesmen would let you walk away not knowing what type of processor you have when it’s one of the first things you should have discussed. Unless he’s just trying to move a machine. It’s like buy a car and never asking what’s under the hood.
If you don't know or understand what any of it is (and the seller is able to tell), what difference does it make?OK... Don’t you think it’s important to know what you’re getting BEFORE you buy a computer?

There was a point? Oh yeah, he had to get another PC today - that's his point. If he’s not gonna tell us about the computer, then I don’t understand what this thread is all about??? What was the point???
Sure I am since they are so upset about what I bought.and there he is asking for people to buy him things again.
