How many of you will be pre-ordering the IPhone 10?

I agree. I have a job to do this Saturday and have been talking a beating for the setup I'm using. I'm giving the committee something that they aren't used to getting to impress them enough that they either will call me again and to pass the word along when another committee is looking for a DJ who they should use.

You're not understanding the definition of 'impress'. It has little to do with equipment.

Tunes 2 things here. It's about using the right tools for the job to get the job done right. Also supplying them with something they are not used to getting. Including a facade.

What happens when you use inferior equipment? (Not saying you do). It sounds like crap and it says to people don't use that DJ ever again! Nobody referring that DJ when a person is looking for a DJ.

Sorry I meant that for Itigger. The equipment will be right tomorrow. What I've seen is a DJ coming to do an event with not enough gear to do the job right and to make up for what they are lacking they will try to make up for it by having everything running in the red. Ultimately having it sound like pure doo doo.

I am sure we will de a post with pictures of random people not set up pics and a list of excuses
What are you talking about. I'm just there to do my job and get paid. I don't know how many people will be there. It's not my personal event.

Since you know what to do with your system and you will have a "PERFECT" sound, can you answer the question that has been asked of you a few times, what will you have the switches and dials set at on the back of the 801p's? Can you also explain to us what each knob on the back of those subs are used for?

Thanks in advance

Again, you're basing 'impress' on visual things or inferior equipment. These mean nothing. Professional equipment can sound as bad or worse than inferior equipment if not used properly.

Why are you continuously talking about not enough gear to do the job and running in the red. You're the only person here that is mentioning that.

Because I've known some that have those issues and ultimately end up destroying the system.

I'm so tired of this narrative. If you want to prove to everyone you're a professional.. go kill it tomorrow. Play your event, do a good job. And if you can, take some photos of a clean, well polished set up. Maybe more than 6 people dancing... you know, anything that is in a normal gig log.

You telling us it will be good isn't worth anything to anybody. Just prove you can do it.

I still have one issue. IT'S NOT MY PERSONAL EVENT. I AM DOING THIS EVENT FOR A SUB COMMITTEE. It should be a nice crowd there for the dance because the speaker portion is only 3 hours.

I've done and seen other speakers jam and dance events where the speaker portion went too long and when it's time for the dance, most people are tired and ready to go.

And there is the excuse. You booked a job and were so excited about it. You said and I quote they booked you because of what you do. So if there are no people dancing after the speakers then you are not that good or they booked you because you were the cheapest option. You can pick one but those are the only two options.

Reread what I said. In some cases the speaker portion is so long that by the time it's time it's for the dance portion people are tired and ready to go.

I got one to do on October 7th. The speaking portion is supposed to be from 2-9pm and then the dance 9 to midnight. I don't have control over the first part. All I can do is what I'm paid to do and that is play music for the event.

Look at it this way. Imagine you being there for say 5-6 hours listening to people speaking. Wouldn't you be tired after that? If not physically mentally.

One other big problem in that room is there is no A C in that room. So when it's hot outside it's like a furnace inside. There's a VFW Hall in Kenilworth, NJ that only allows events to take place during the fall and winter only because they don't have A C.

I'm just excited about getting to see pics of the setup AND the façade. I will be up early tomorrow just to see those!
Don't get up too early for that because I may sleep late. After this one I might be in a lot of pain and too tired to be in a rush to get up. Especially since right now the Giants suck.

Let us know how it went .. we have the over/under line at 20 dancers.

Just dropped a $1000 on the new Samsung Note 8. I basically run my whole business from my phone. Its worth it.
