Now that my new rack is good-to-go...
I am looking at revising my lighting rig.
I recently got the ADJ Dotz TPar system, to replace my custom light rig...
but I am still limited by the footprint/floor space that the trip stand takes up.
I love symmetry, so putting a wide-legged stand right behind me is a tight fit.
My goal was to get something like this: (minus the facade)

But it seems these types of rigs are only sold in the UK, and they are NOT able to be shipped.
So I was thinking of using the 6-foot banquet table I just bought, and customizing it to accommodate
two vertical poles. (standard 1-3/8" poles).
Then attaching this at the top:

Any ideas or suggestions?

very interesting, Tig.
Not a fan of the façade...(nor of the price when it's included)...
but it's the first American sold version I've seen.
(even though it appears to be an English product)
What did you use as a search phrase?

or maybe .. Global Truss Portable DJ Table and Facade with Lifter System

Interesting find Steve. Cool Concept. It's a big price to pay imo for the luxury of crank stands and a all in one unit though. ...Also that table is limited on space.

Why not purchase a 10 foot lighting truss, and purchase a 5 foot table from Wal Mart, and throw a DJ Skirt over it? Total cost with everything included is like $200. Here is a lighting truss on Ebay that holds up to 250 lbs (evenly distributed).

10 foot of truss plus the stands just takes up too much space, this is only 6 1/2 feet wide on the bar and only 5 foot on the floor

As Tunes said...10-feet is too wide.
Many venues I am in simply don't offer 10-foot of space.
That's why I wanted to customize my 6-foot banquet table.
Besides, I want MINIMAL setup.
Thinking of pre-hanging the lights on the crossbar.

I did, but at the same token my current face is over 50 pounds, plus I still need a table and a light stand and crossbar, it's probably a wash for me

I really like the looks of this thing, but you might want to pause and really give some thought to handling this bad boy. 75 pounds and 5'X4' (I'm assuming this just folds up into a single piece), that is going to be some more kinda pain to get in and out the door, much less trying to get it in and out of your hauling vehicle/trailer. I'm like you, I really like the clean and polished presentation but until I could physically put my hands on it, to get a feel for the above issues, there's no way I'd buy it.

I've spent some time watching a few videos sound like it is closer to 60 pounds and two bags, one for the lighting portion and one for the facade have not seen a complete set up video yet

I'm with you on this, Mike.[emoji4] I used a 4 ft. wide table for a while, but even that was more space than I needed. In most of the venues I've done, more space was available to me, but my current table is 30in. X 30in. I can fit almost anywhere.[emoji4] Usually try to put my light stand behind me, so we're talking about a space around 6-7 feet deep, but less than 4 feet wide.

I use an 8' triangle 2" aluminum truss. 2 ST-152 (I believe) stands. I see there's a 6.56' truss that holds 3299lbs.

My 8' truss loaded up.

Just be careful on the liability side, as those stand bases aren't fully extended in that shot.
