    Not sure the answer matters, to be honest. Both versions are 10 years old and considered obsolete at this point. The most recent drivers for the MC6000 were released in 2015.

    Don't do that. The age of your domain factors in Google's rankings and you'll lose that history by moving to the new domain. You should also renew your domain for longer period than a year. At least do five years, maybe ten. It's a small thing but it lends credibility to your site rankings...
