I visited the HK facility in Germany a few years ago having owned a lot of their products for many years.

The Polar system is actually quite nice with a great sound at a decent price. I tested the Polar 10 at a gig with 100 people and it was fantastic, really nice warm sound.

This was the size of event I was planning to down size for, 100 / 125.

I was in store looking at it today I seen the Polar 12 I'm going to listen to the Polar 10 tomorrow as there were none in stock but were on the way. I am seriously considering them

Polar 12 is very tempting to add to the fleet. Looking for light weight , low profile for a few venues.

It's not really light weight the 12 is about 60 Lbs the sub alone is about 48Lbs but it's much easier to move and handle than conventional. The specs look real good. It's saying 2000 watts I suspect that's peak probably 1000 program. 126Db SPL half space is ok (I just today learned what half space is LOL) 35-20K Hz is perfect

I agree. You could in and out quickly with out having to break the bank. I have a Polar 10 on order and it should be in next week. I sold off some old QSC speakers I had and plan to use the Polar 10 for ceremony/cocktail duty.

I've been a big fan of column line arrays for years. Always good to see more options out there. There are several brands I'd have no problem using. Maybe total weight isn't much different compared to more conventional set ups, but my back is convinced that it hasn't had to lift heavy things for years. Set up and tear down in minutes is always great as well.

As with anything, there's always trade offs and nothing is perfect, but I'll think you'll find yourself using the line array A LOT of the time.

I have the L1 pro16's and pro32's as well as some of the older L1 models. I currently use the 16 or a pair more often than anything.
For cocktail/ceremony, I believe these are overkill. I use a much smaller, battery powered s1pro for these.

Simple question to all here. The setup mentioned in the beginning, would you buy them?

Quick update. I finally got the unit it.

Pros:
- Looks great and feel solid (does not feel cheap or sway around like Harbinger MLS1000)
- Built in mixer has options. Bluetooth and RCA (in case Bluetooth fails) and could possibly reduce setup and breakdown time.
- Built in Delay and 3 Band EQ
- Great sound
- Covers included with system purchase

Cons:
- Bulkier than that I wanted
- Heavy but manageable with handles and cart (which I planned to use anyway)
- Peaks early with bass heavy music. Had to back off sub gain

All in all happy with the purchase. You might be able to rock a party with two of them for a crowd of 100-125 depending on the room. I'll mostly use them for ceremony and cocktail hour duty but the delay does give you and option to use as a side fill in the future. Still need to crank them up in a big room to see how they sound and test out built in mixer with microphones.

I was interested in the fact you can leave the mid section out for stage height setups.
