That is also what I do. However, about 40% of the time, the venue does not have a table for me, or the table they do have is not sufficient for what I want in a table. (Usually too long, or too old or on rare occasion they put together a couple of high tops for me which is just no good for me) . So I set up my 6 foot with a black cover on it. Sometimes I use white cover, but I noticed that my white cover wrinkles way too easily, and the wrinkles show too easy on it.

Anyway, I keep asking myself the same questions when I think about going with a bigger facade:

1. Will bringing in a bigger facade really "Up my game in terms of presentation?"
2. Will using one help me earn more money over what I currently do?
3. Is the hassle of figuring out finding more space in my SUV for the Facade, and the hassle of carrying it in and out, and dealing with the additional time of setting it up compared to what I do now with table top facades even worth it?

I do on average about 2 events per year where I think to myself that a Full Facade would have been better to have over my table top facade due to dancers being so close to the table at the venue. Outside of those two events per year, My regular table top facades work out just fine for me. In the end they were okay for those two events, but it would have been nice to have the additional protection from a full facade in front of my table.
1... it will up your game in terms of presentation for sure... as long as everything else reflects that image. Your setup would actually look cleaner without that lighting effect machine, than with it. Your dancefloor lighting options should be no lights or moving heads... no in between.

2. You will not earn more money because you have a nicer facade... however you will not earn more money if you don't have a nice facade. Can't have one without the other. Your setup honestly looks really flimsy and homemade/tacky. Does not resemble something that is high end and impressive. You're just doing the bare minimum to cover up the mess... not create an impression.

3. That light facade by rockville weighs virtually nothing, and is relatively easy to hook up. What's 1-2 minutes more in set up time.

4. I have packed dancefloors, and my facade gets bumped against all the time... I'm happy I have a barrier that prevents people from touching my stuff.

I agree with you about the light. If he does use it then it should be higher up like on a Tripod light stand with some more lights. They sell a Gig Bar that comes with a light stand. I don't like those lights either but it's better then that light on the speaker stand. When using lights they should be up high and not at such a low level. I understand that you looking at ways to make more money with things you offer. May I please ask what would you suggest for a light show that would look nice and not break the bank?

I have the ability to mount the Boom Box Light effect to the top of a speaker stand. There is an adaptor that Colorado light and sound makes. I have one of them. Thing is, that at most of the venues I am at, there isn't enough space OR a good spot to place the actual speaker stand. At that last venue, I was up on a stage in a barn, and the dance floor area was a solid 35 feet from me. That far from the light, and the light effect spreads all over the room so it won't matter if it is up real high on a light stand or mounted to my speaker stand in terms of the effect itself. If the dance floor is near my table and they are dancing in front of me, then I do agree that the light effect should be on a stand and placed high, and pointed down at the crowd.

I saw the picture of the event in the barn. If you used that light on a tripod the ideal place would be put it behind you. Since there was no room on the stage it could go on the floor out of the way so people don't bump into it or trip over the legs. In another picture it looked like you had enough room for a tripod light stand placed behind you. Again I'm with Taso on this one. That light right there is not attractive. Especially since there's only one light on the speaker stand and nothing on the other one. Do what you feel is best for you.

I was going to vote for the grundorff, but if it has carpet on it, that's a hard no for me. I think Carpet on anything but the floors is just a little tacky. There was a time and place for it, and it if you were doing a retro room in your mansion, I'd say rock the hell out of it... but for this purpose, I'd vote no. LOL.

You're current set up, aside from the boom-box light, looks pretty clean to me. No need to re-invent the wheel, unless you're just tired of it.

I ordered the Facade from Rockville. Ultimately, what I want to do is be able to buy 2 more panels (They do have a part number for 2 additional panels, but they are not in stock anywhere at the moment). All I really need is a 5th panel, and I can do a 5 panel set up which would completely fit around a 6 foot table.

I can hopefully use this facade at my next wedding. My next wedding on Oct. 30th is at a venue that is thin. It is like a 23' x 90' room. They make DJs use a very thin table. The table is like 66" long, and 18" wide, and the dance floor is right up against it with sweet hear table on other side of the dance floor. They usually also put linens on the table, and since the table is a thin table, the linens end up being way too long, and curling on the floor instead of just going down to the floor. So it's awkward. So my plan is that I hope this 4 panel facade will be able to cover the table up enough that I won't need to use a linen at all, and have protection from the facade.

Here is a picture of the set up area I am talking about at beginning of this video. Also, table top facades do not fit on this table because it is so thin so a TT facade is not feasible.

Here is an older VLOG from this venue.

This was last Saturday. I was up on a stage in an OLD BARN built back in the 1800s by the Amish, and was "remodeled" with new flooring about 6 years ago. This was a small wedding only 40 people. I decided to use my Old Grundorf Facade at this one because I didn't know what to expect being in an old barn, and it was a small wedding any way.

Here is a picture of me doing the ceremony...which was by an olympic style lap pool at this private Country Estate. This shows my cheap "SHORT" Dragon Frontboards table top facade that I use for ceremonies. The ceremony was on the other side of this pool. This small TT Facade weighs like 1.5 lbs. A guest took a picture of me.

Here is my 6 Foot PYLE Table Top Facade I bought for like $89 a few years ago. It is the biggest one to transport that I have. It goes into the box it arrived in. No bag for it.

Here is the custom Dragon Frontboards Table Top Facade I had made a few years back. It is 14" tall so a bit shorter than the other two that I use. I wanted it 14" tall for a reason, and I can't remember why, lol. I think because I wanted the full back of my laptops to show when looking straight at my table in case I was going to put laptop signage on my laptops...I never got around to doing that. But this is arguably the nicest looking one that I have. Id you look closely you can see the gaffers tape I have holding up that left side panel since the plastic hinge broke off.

What is the name of that light?

Freaking Top of the Town.... no subs, no jumping, 1 elevator to fight with the caterer... best view in town.

Freaking Top of the Town.... no subs, no jumping, 1 elevator to fight with the caterer... best view in town.

Once I bought the Rock N Roller R10 Cart, I figured out that the best way to load into this venue is to get there EARLY. Often I am rolling up right before the caterer does with their box truck and 9+ employees. If I don't get access to the elevator before they do, then I am usually getting in after they used the elevator for their first shot up with their supplies/stuff. Once they get to their 2nd shot up on the elevator they are taking up that little hallway area with all of their stuff and it's a PITA to get use of the elevator at that point until they are completely done getting everything up stairs.

I use both of my carts, and I get EVERYTHING up in 1 shot, and I get everything DOWN in 1 shot. I usually have to go back out to my SUV to grab my shirt/tie and jacket after loading in, but that's it.

My first time working this venue I had only a freaking DOLLY and I had an amp and passive speakers back then! ...That sucked, and it took me so damn long to get everything upstairs. I hated it! Then back then the management was just so "snobby" with their rules. "Don't touch the lights"...gotta wait for them to literally dim the lights during open dancing. They are better in recent years, but years ago they were just so uptight to deal with.

Alright everyone:

The Facade arrived. I did have to put it together, but once you glimpse at the instructions and look everything over for 15 seconds, this is real simple. I got it put together at my storage unit in like 15 minutes. They build it so it's easy to put together. This facade is pretty light, and actually more durable than I thought it would be. Once you tighten everything up, some weight can be put on it. I leaned on it...not completely, but it held me just fine. I would say this is totally worth the $149.95 I paid for it! It use to be 5 bucks less...Should have bought one a couple years ago! The carry case Rockville includes fits the facade pretty snug. There is actually room to get a 5th panel in the bag and it will still zip up. I do want to get one more panel for this and I think it will be perfect with 5 panels

Here are some pics I took. First pic is with a 4 ft table behind it. Other two pics are with a 6 ft table behind it. Do you think I can use this with a 6 foot table on upcoming events? Or will I need to put a table cover over the table if I use it with a 6 foot table?

Can't wait to use it with either table! I just really like using a 6 foot table because it has enough space for everything. 4 foot is super tight, and not favorable for me, but I can make do with a 4 ft if I have to.

The table top facade makes more sense because it puts the mask where it means the most. If you choose a facade that can't be customized for every event then you're actually imposing on the client or venues preferred ambiance. I wouldn't do a facade unless I was already doing a whole stage set or other requested decor elements.

The one I mentioned Pro X Mesa MK 2 takes 2-3 minutes to setup. I watched videos to find this out.

How about a 5 foot table Walmart sells them and they are much less than a 6 ft

My local Wal Marts have been out of stock on the 5 footers for a while now. Everytime I go they don't have any. They did use to sell a "LIFETIME" 5 foot table in the camping section. It is more expensive than their mainstays 6 ft table, but claims to be more durable and can hold up to 350 lbs or something like that.

I actually have a really old 5 foot table in my basement, but it's like 25+ years old, and don't want to use it for deejaying. We keep our paper goods on it lol...Stock of Kleenex, Napkins, Paper Towles, Paper plates, Ziploc bags, and Clorox wipes. We know it's time to restock by looking at the table.

The 4 panel facade won't wrap around a 5 foot though as the 2 front panels are 55".

I could buy a 52" Grunford DJ Table! https://www.zzounds.com/item--GRUAT...J2ns69cBKnBFK578RjZE__SJVXlhxXBQaAqOBEALw_wcB

...But I'm not going to spend $215 on a table...and it's not foldable :(

5foot Wal-Mart two day shipping. $41.95
