With the supply chain struggling the way it is, it looks like it's not a bad time to unload used gear right now.

I've got a QSC KW-181 in very good condition in my garage that leaves the house... maybe once a year? On ebay/marketplace they look like they are selling for $1,100 - $1,300 listed.

I can't remember exactly what I paid for it because it was probably a decade ago that I bought it. But I'd bet a lot that I didn't pay more than $2,000 for that sub. If I could get 50% of the purchase price back out of it a decade later after probably doing 150-200 gigs with it, I'm pretty sure that was the buy of the century.

Anybody else have gear collecting dust that they should be looking to unload right now with supply being choked?

I got some stuff hanging around but I'm not sure who would want it. I got a full JBL JRX system with 2 QSC 2402 amps. Besides that I have a Yamaha P5000 and P7000 all racked up plus some CV Earthquakes and CV MV 15s. Probably about a dozen mixers hanging around here and a full selection of spin and pukes along with 2 18" Black Widow drivers not in boxes. There's also 4 NX55 and 4 LS200 that I normally use

None of it is actively for sale but if someone were to make an offer I would consider it

Yes, techinally all my gear is collecting dust😆😆😆 , I do have few items that I could sell but they have no value or demand really so not worth my time or effort.

Mainly my Chauvet 40 and probably the Inno Rollers/Scan and maybe the Stinger, what a useless light that is, IMO

I agree with this. It may depend on what you're trying to sell. For example if you're looking to sell passive speakers even with an amp might be very hard. You may want a price that people won't want to pay because of the invention of active speakers and you just may not want the price to be so low that you feel you're giving them away.

My friend sold me some gear for a crazy low price because we've been friends for well over 10 years. I got a pair of EV Tour X dual 15" speakers for $50. He had no more use for them and just wanted to get rid of them including a Peavey amp. He didn't put those things online because he figured nobody would buy them for the price he would want for the gear. I used those speakers for an out door event in a park this past summer. So the bottom line is it depends on what you're trying to sell.

I was looking at a few that popped up on Facebook today it looks like most that are selling are in the 75-90% range of the original price if you can get that it is time to sell

Are you looking to sell because you need the money or that you're selling the gear because it's stuff you don't use anymore and just want to get rid of stuff to make room for more things you want.

I've got several pieces of gear that I basically don't need. They are big and take up a lot of room.

I don't need anything new, but if someone is willing to give me top dollar for a 10 year old sub... I'm going to put their money in my pocket. I just need to move some things around so I can take pictures and then sell it.

I also think I'm going to sell my movers and totems after a gig in December which I'm using them for. Also very big, low demand, and I can always rent if I need to.
