Physics be damned. Let's not confuse people with proper driver-cabinet matching using Thiele-Small parameters. .

I think they were using the other lesser known parimaters of If it fits it sits ;)

To go back to the original topic, unless you have passive gear already (which I believe you do) it will be tough finding passive speakers that are high quality speakers at a decent price. Not a lot of people have that stuff anymore and if they do it's a tough sell. They can't hardly get any money for that stuff and have to sell it for a price they have to practically give it away. My friend sold me a pair of EV Tour X double 15's for $50. He let me get away with that because we're good friends and he knew he couldn't hardly put them online to sell because who was going to buy them. He sold them to me because he had no use for them. I used them a few times and they sound great!

There's still a market for passive gear especially higher end stuff. These are $500 Canadian so probably $400 American decent quality and relativly inexpensive

$700 Canadian so probably $600 American. It would leave you tons of headroom with the above speakers

I run two Yorkville E210 passive tops with one LS700P powered sub. Been using this setup for over 12 or so years. I can't imagine needing more for 99% of the gigs I do.
