I finally gave in and ordered a new Bose S1 Pro yesterday. Drove to GC yesterday and they didn't have any in stock, then checked multiple Best Buys and same story, not in stock. Finally just ordered it off Amazon and says it will be here Thurs/Fri, just in time for my Saturday wedding at the venue. Besides weddings, I plan to use it for my soloact thing. Should make those incredibly lightweight and all-battery. In addition, it'll be nice to have on the front porch in the evenings, watching the sunset and listening to tunes.

You'll love it

I use that with Sennheiser g4 wireless receivers/mics and an iPad and it makes for an incredibly easy ceremony set up

You were the one that got me interested in these. After seeing an ad about a street musician who uses it I was hooked. Having the built-in mixer, enough channels for my vox/gtr/ipad, bluetooth for ipad and reverb on the mic/guitar channels and battery power, I just couldn't resist. I'm thinking I may have to take my "Bored in Blount County" (from my Facebook page) series on the road and start playing in some of the parks around here.

Be careful. I’d avoid me if I were you. I’ll have you buying a pro16 or pro32 soon 😂

I am bringing my S1 Pro with me on vacation. I plan to plop it on the balcony to the condo we are renting which I hope is near the pool at the resort, and blasting music for a while and give everyone some free music entertainment! :) Bringing my micrphone as well! :)

Might want to consider the JBL Eon One Compact as well.

buy a Pro 32 with Sub 2 and be amazed. The headroom on it is astonishing.

Ain't going there again. For the few mobile things I still do my Alto TS312s are more than enough. It's funny, I spent more on that itty bitty S1 than for my pair of TS312s. It's just that having battery power, great sound and a built-in 3-channel mixer (with bluetooth) is the absolute perfect thing for ceremonies and for live music soloact things. It's suppose to be here tomorrow and I'm excited.

HA! Fedex just dropped it off. I have it sitting here, on the island bar in the kitchen, cranking some Michael McDonald (don't judge). Man, this little dude is super cool. Is there any way to tell where the battery level is sitting?

I think the blue light near the power button flashes fast when you are real low on power.

As it charges the flash slows down...I think that is how it works.

I have never used the Bose to the point the battery died on me so not sure.

You press the Bluetooth button twice. It will flash once for each 25%.

You can also download the bose connect app. That will give you a more accurate number

I played music from my phone over bluetooth, most of the evening. For tracks, that little box sounds terrific. Last night I hooked up a mic, ipad and guitar, to try it out as a soloact speaker. Eh, not so good. I'll probably play with it some more but wasn't keen on it. Too little power, too little bass.

Okay don’t laugh but this is my ceremony setup today. It was threatening rain and I normally throw plastic over everything but instead, I backed my car up and put everything in there. No mic needed (15 folks), the Bose runs off battery and I have the laptop plugged into my Duracell battery (didn’t need it). This Bose is superb. I’m 50 feet away and only running 25% volume. Man this rig is killer.

Another gig with the Bose s1. Can’t tell you how much I like this. Using a Duracell to power wireless and laptop with the Bose running on its own battery. Some of you may laugh at my setup in the car but this works so well. Pull it off to the side, pop the hatchback and no worries about rain (it’s 70% chance today). After the ceremony is over just close up and drive to the barn.

It finally happened. Bride screwed around and was 45 minutes late and just as she got halfway down the hill the bottom dropped out. Everyone got soaked. I've done literally hundreds and this is the first to ever have a ceremony get soaked. Btw, I stayed dry with my rig in the back of my car.

That wouldn't fly at 95% of the venues I work at. Most of them don't have ceremony areas where you can just pull the car right up and park out of the way and to the side. The venues will require the car to be parked in the parking area.

...Also, and wedding with a wedding planner involved, this just won't fly. They will require that the DJ is set up on a table somewhere. They just can't have cars anywhere near the pictures, lol. Down south people are more relaxed with stuff like this.

I like it though. It seems so easy to just put the hatch down, and drive away from the ceremony, LOL.
