Digital DJs and Playing outside

I never did outside events professionally. I sweat like a... a... like a sweaty person! It’s just too uncomfortable. I understand the outdoor party thing with Covid and all, but it would not entice me. I’ll stay retired!😊

EZup. I require coverage for my equipment at outside events. If they cannot provide coverage we charge them and provide the coverage.

Serato Day Mode works terrific. 80% of my events are outside and I have no issue. That thing you posted from the link looks a little much, and so not needed.

I need cover- heat, sun so I can see the screen, rain, etc.

I have a one man 10x10 ezup and rain covers for my yamaha tops that let them play in the rain and be protected.
Where did you get the rain covers at for the Yammys ?

I stopped fooling with the EZ-Ups. They were more trouble than they were worth. Not to mention, if serious wind comes up, those things can become a missile pretty easy. I always found it was better to just have plastic to throw over everything. If you need shade, an umbrella works just fine.

depends on the event. I 've setup an ezup at car cruises and had no issues. Sports pics...at times, yes, the wind sucks.

I used them for several years with no issues. Worked a backyard party in St. Louis and a storm blew up. The client had several guys, trying to take down an EZUp quickly when the wind ripped it out of their hands. They were lucky nobody was injured or killed. After that, no thank you.

Nothing a little weight (actual weights, sand bags, other heavy items) couldn't solve.

I have one for a kitchen setup for camping we hit wind one day at the top of a hill when we weren't there we came back to the whole thing intact and laying down that was with close to 100 Lbs. and pegged well. The wind was fairly and unusually high that day though. I was lucky we broke one metal cross on it I was able to repair. I think the term easyup is a misnomer though it takes a minimum of 2 people and a fight to get the damn thing standing at least with an 8X8 anyway

My old ezup is heavy and takes 4 to really put it up.

The new ones I found at home depot are truly 1 person - sure, 2 make it easier but that's true for most things.

this model I believe but only $99 2 years ago at HD.

FYI, the first gust of meaningful wing will devour those budget pop ups, especially if thay are not SECURELY staked or weighted down.

It only took me 3 or 4 tents in a 2 year stretch to learn the hard lesson...

Definately a tent because the sun can make the gear so hot that you can't touch it unless you wear gloves which probably will make things more difficult to work the gear.

I use a tent and that doesn't get rid of all the glare on a laptop screen. You can buy a cover to go over the laptop or go into settings to make the adjustments needed.

Another one of the advantages of passive speakers is that there is usually less of a problem with overheating - especially when covered with a black plastic yard waste bag...and still playing music in the rain!!
