Wedding last night bowling alley banquet hall, pretty common in my area, end of the night after guests had left bride and groom had said goodbyes, venue owner comes up to me hands me $200 and said I’ve never had a more profitable event night. Now from years of DJing bars crowd rotation comes naturally but I do not do it intentionally at a private event.
I have never in over 30 years had a venue owner tip me at a private event, between that and the $300 tip from the bride and groom Its a nice stash of walking around money to have in my pocket

What made it profitable? Was it a cash bar?

IT COULD HAPPEN.

How many attended the wedding and kudos on getting 2 tips for one private event?

As was stated above for all of those who have the common sense to read the entire post just over 500 people
Sorry sir. I saw RSVP and I was thinking that's how many went out. Boy over 500 people in the situation we're in. That's unheard of with the laws the way they are. The owner probably never had that many people in their venue attending an event. I know that many people the owner made a small fortune.

Most of my weddings are 300 plus it’s very common in this area.

That's truly great. That says the brides in your area are not playing with a small budget. At least the ones you mostly deal with. Congrats. I just wonder how many thousands of dollars did the venue owner make off of this wedding?

Maybe that is a contributing reason why Wisconsin's Covid cases are spiking like Crazy? 4,600 new cases the other day, 4,205 yesterday. Two biggest days for Wisconsin so far.

You all surpassed Maryland 3 weeks ago in total cases...Up until then there were far less cases in Wisconsin.

I would be weary attending a 300+ person wedding this year. I probably wouldn't go to one to be honest.

Rox and Jeff, can you please take this "discussion" to either a private forum or the new political one? It's no longer DJ related....
