Too bad no deal like that was available when I was starting out. That’s a WAY better system than I started with, and actually right around the same price; maybe even a little less.

Depends on your business perspective. A pair of decent midpriced MI level tops will generally run $700-$1000 ($350 to $500 a piece). Add a pair of small subs for $500-$600 each (actually less than I paid for my Yamaha DXS12s) and that adds another $1200. So $1900-$2200 for a starter system is about right. Then you get a $200 mixer and a $300 wireless mic with this deal..

Today, I'd recommend someone starting out to work for someone else and save the money to get something of their own. The kit Steve mentioned here makes sense. Much more than what I did

Steve what I call a starter system is much different than that. What I think of is someone buying some cheap crap that they is a great deal because of the price. That's normally someone just starting out that doesn't know what is quality gear and what is junk. I certainly wouldn't call that system junk. It's awesome. I would be happy to say I own that system.

I'm glad you said that. Just how many others are not on here that don't know. My experience in most cases you learn as you go and hopefully if you keep at it you get to learn the difference between the two and realize that you will be much happier spending the extra money. Some won't know the difference until they experience things for themselves. Some will realize they didn't save money, they gave money away.

No need to buy that setup. We're doing great with what we have right now. No bad remarks about we should be down sizing. We're very happy with what we're working with.

The one thing this has going for it that yours doesn't, it all matches and compliments each other. Yours needs alot of work to match and sound good together.
