A guy named Sam Fox just posted a USB hub that he says will charge an android and poss thru signal to direct-connect to the interface. Just ordered mine to try it out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[SOLVED] Found a USB solution ( $7.99 ) that will Power/Charge & Connect the Android Tablet with the mydmxGO box. - Hope this helps someone.
1.) Use the power brick that came with the tablet.
2.) Settings> Developer's Options> Enable ADB - ON
3.) Settings> Developer's Options> Stay Awake - ON
4.) Here is the link to the usb hub in the pics. May work on others if you Enable ADB

i didn't have great, as in reliable, results. I'd program something and then shut all down and fire all up and it was erratic if it would work at all, or work the same as before. Not sure the issue.

I have some uplights coming that I'm gonna try with it.

I am using an amazon fire tablet. And a wifi network at home..maybe a conflict of some kind with one of them?

hmmmmm the mydmxgo facebook page is constantly abuzz with both complaints and success stories....i personally use mine religiously and would only change if they created an even better version with a way to create a preset playlist

At my last event i was able to aim my moving heads just above the bride and grooms table ..placing multiple stars swirling above their heads... grabbed a nice complimentary color for the rest of the room...and saved it as my homebase preset.... all in about 40 seconds.... i love mine!

I just saw a couple of FB posts that caught my attention. Bought a replacement antenna that supposedly has better reception. Also just a post last night about a new firmware update that supposedly fixes the connection issues. I'm planning to make another run at it at my next gig in a couple of weeks. That product has been a sore disappointment in my book.

I plan to try it I think at an event, a school dance (elementary school). I can test it before the kids come and then decide what I want to do.

Many of my lights are not 'compatible' - mini kinta for example. I did some programming and it's cool when it works..WHEN it works. I have more time now so I plan to re-do a LOT of things.

So far my extra time has upped my gig count a LOT- I have more booked for 20 than I did in 19, and in the past week booked 50% of the $ amount from last year. If this keeps up it's gonna be a great year.

Maybe my 'luck' has upped a bit and DMXgo will just work!

Hope it works out for both of ya!

If you can see the same reliability i have with mine...im sure you will grow to love it!

I dearly LOVE the product. Probably the perfect UI/app for mobile DJ DMX control that I could imagine. I still find it hard to believe that they released the product without debugging the connection issue. SURELY a major manufacturer did proper QA.......................wait a minute, what am I saying? ;)

No major issues for me. It did take a couple times to connect the first time last weekend (I recently updated the app), but after that no issues.

My APP just got an update, maybe that will help your situation.

The FB groups are also saying a reliable fix is to change the wifi channel using hardware manager. I've updated the firmware, but I don't see where in the hardware manager you change the wifi channel.
Also am I just dum or what does the number on the display of the unit represent? Not the wifi channel is it? And the "D" stands for dimmer I believe even though mine doesn't change.

The buttons on the unit are mainly for stand-alone use (not available in myDMX Go .. only myDMX 3.0)

Martin Long's video should walk through the process:
