Cheap uplighting...?

these from both, look like the rockwell - 10 in a case delivered for $876. More than I want to spend, but per-light it's pretty cheap, and the case allows bulk charging.

Probably 60lb for all of them in the case, not great but not terrible. I use a dolly so don't have to go far with them.

Hmm..paypal credit..will have to look into that.

i just ordered a couple rockwedges ...gonna try them out before ordering a bunch

seems they are the same as the both/chinese ones. a touch more money, not a lot though. perhaps better support if it comes to that?

they seems small - which has it's benefits.

I just have to decide on white or black...I tend to do everything in black, and they would 'hide' better, but then if they're lit they're not exactly hiding...and white would stand out so as not to be tripped over.

Would white stay white?

Benefit is they are local and the sales comes from AudioSavings .. a NJ company .. Both is cheaper, but no US presence.

yeah...i went with the black... im sure once and a while the whites might look more elegant in a certain venue... but i always lean towards black housings on everything

I won't disagree with renting, but make sure the source is good, and the capabilities of the lights are to the standard you want them to be should you want to continue offering the service. Mike makes an interesting comment about interest in lighting continuing. I find it interesting, because my experience has been one where nearly 2/3 of events are adding it on... and it's from 2 different perspectives. One is the sweet 16 that is looking to add it to give the club vibe with crazy color control capabilities. Weddings though... they don't care for that as much, and the trends are shifting away from color changing/loud saturated colors etc. Now I'm getting asked more for whites, ivory's, gold's, blush pinks, and ambers. This is why I was pointing to the lights I mentioned before... the ones given originally can't create those colors.

This photo below is one of my current favorites because it showcase modern and elegance in one, and is currently what a lot of my future brides are looking for. It's an ivory color I created so things don't look ghost white and in my conversations with perspective couples it has been one of my more talked about photos that I showcase to them.

What color mix is this, Taso? 255, 255, 240 (R.G,B)?

Usually, Ivory would be a mixture of white and Amber (if you have it). Using White and Amber will get you less haloing than using more colors (RGB+).

It is an rgbw combination... I can't recall the exact combination, but essentially we took an amber or gold preset that we already had and added a good amount of the white led to it. Steve was pretty spot on. RGB is not ideal for pastel and gold/amber based colors. I am able to create a pretty solid gold and amber with the lights I have, but having an amber diode makes a big difference. Below are my golds and ambers:

Just got my Rockwedges and put them through their paces....oh man i LOVE these lights...gonna order a dozen more soon... honestly...for the price...im not sure why anyone would use anything else... they are small and sleek...and even with just the three LED's they are quite bright

I'm gonna go with the both set of 10, sold 2 uplighting packages and have a school dance late march where I want to use them for pictures for future dances.
10 w/ case that charges is 876 delivered. From all I can find it's the exact same item, but will be a tad cheaper and the case - free at that point.

Can I get a URL for these lights?

I bought mine from the Rockville website, though the order actually came from Audio Savings in NJ .. no shipping, no tax.

price is close enough, but they don't offer the case...the convenience of charging all at one time in the case is hard to beat

I couldn't find that, I just saw the soft bags that hold 4.

So, 6 lights and case, $700, $115ish each. 1 year warranty..no specifics if the battery is covered or not.
Both lighting, $876 for 10 and case, $87 each. 1 year warranty, but not on the batteries...

6 lights would be lighter than 10...

I didn't get the case as I prefer to charge lights in open air so there is no heat buildup. I have 4 in a small ADJ case. The charge cases are fine for those with ramps and good backs.
