I am willing to bet a number of family members were not impressed, LOL.

Others probably thought it was awesome. ...As the DJ I would think it's pretty cool. Cool enough to take pics, and make a thread on ODJT about it if it were one of my events! :)

While I personally think it's the tackiest of tacky, look at the setting. Groomsmen in sneakers, it's in somebody's backyard (in a fairly low end neighborhood) and the officiant is dressed casually. I suspect she fit in perfectly and the stunt obviously gave her sister's wedding viral attention. Kudos to the gutsy lady.

Not sure what the issue is - the bride approved it. As for the area, from the areas I've seen, there's not enough information to determine if that's a low end neighborhood or not. It looks like every other major metropolitan suburban area yard. The fact that it was small and only close family tells me that there is information we don't know. Perhaps it was to retrace others footsteps - maybe her parents married there, maybe there are funding issues, there are so many possibilities. I think there's alot to this story that we don't know.

Id assume the bride allowed her to wear whatever she wanted (figuring she would remember the reason for the occasion and out of love and respect not make it completely ridiculous and narcissistic in nature)

The bride stuck by her word...allowing it....as the video shows... everyone did their best to ignore it... which says a lot about the situation....

Lesson learned i guess

It says in the write up that the MOH was explicit - and the bride accepted it.

'“I offered numerous chances to change her mind and she wanted me to go for it."'

'She said she texted her sister about her intent to wear the costume before the big day and her sister “enjoyed the idea.”'

It doesn't say people did their best to ignore her, it does say ''people didn’t seem shocked at all, and even pretended that everything was absolutely normal.''

Again, we don't know the situation. Maybe it's someone just having a little fun. Maybe there's a disorder. Maybe this is how this person normally operates. Maybe it's nothing.

Odd enough, you can find many similar examples on youtube.

because thats what every bride wants and deserves ... to have all attention diverted from them to their sister wearing a ridiculous costume...

Maybe the bride adores her sister...maybe she would do anything to get her to be part of the occasion even if it meant giving up a large part of the decorum of the occasion.

At the end of the day....a good sister would be like....nah...i was only joking...this is your day...not mine...

A more selfish, immature, irresponsible generation has never existed.

I don't disagree - but try explaining that to someone with a disorder - or a large number of millenials.

You see it just as I do - she asked the bride - and the bride ok'd it. The bride (and perhaps groom) had several opportunities to say no, and moreso when the costume was presented as an option.

It appears to me that the bride is enjoying national (international?) attention on her wedding.

I've seen bridal parties in Game of Thrones and Star Wars costumes ... not sure it really matters ...

as have i.... fully the bride and grooms choice... with the bridal party being good sports and going along with it...

This case seems oddly different to me...considering that the bride had the entire party in dresses she chose and suits/tuxes she chose....that was her idea... the sister decided to stand out...in a sea of normalcy ... not even anything clever...those suits are a tired fad from 5 years ago...

Every single person there who put in effort to look nice and support the bride ....their experience was lessened by this choice

It seemed a mutual decision ...maybe mutually poor, but mutual.
