How many background checks is appropriate?
Do you follow the customer home after the initial meeting? How about interviewing the neighbors?

I remember turning down a wedding once. The couple wanted to meet me before signing a contract with my agent. We met at a coffee shop and the groom was drunk. He started asking me political questions wanting to know who I was for etc. I wouldn't give him answers and I felt uncomfortable with this guy so I turned down the gig.
