Myself I'm known for being great at mixing music and knowing what kinds of music to play at a certain time. You can have the right music for an event and make a mess of things because of playing certain songs or styles of music at the wrong time. I've seen it happen before. DJ had some great equipment and the right music for the event but played the wrong music at the wrong time making a mess of the event and people leaving early.

Shouldn't it be others telling you what you're "known" for ?

Nacho Man is a legend in his own mind. Now off to fulfill my contract! $$

You don’t have to be highly paid to be famous. While it’s true that most famous people who are in Mix’s income bracket are in prison, you can be world famous and poor... think Mahatma Gandhi.[emoji1] Not puttin’ Mix in THAT category either; just offering another perspective.[emoji1]

What the hell are you talking about? Oh never mind. I guess people in a higher income bracket are less likely to go to prison.

Why does it seem like I've seen/heard this before?

Not famous at all. I'm humble though.

I stand corrected. I've been filling my winter calendar playing at a local casino that recently opened up - it's a fun little gig that only requires me to bring my controller and plug into their speakers and video wall. I play music videos, 70s to current, for four hours, in the bar area - it opens up onto the casino floor, so everyone can hear and see what I'm playing. On Friday night as I was setting up, two ladies came up to me and said "We were trying to figure out where we know you from... you were the DJ at the church dances... you're LEGENDARY... do you have a business card"?

They hadn't seen me in 20 years and I wouldn't have recognized them if they hadn't said anything. I guess I'm kind of famous for being a great DJ.
