New kid on the ODJT block here! Former radio news anchor and rock radio personality, started as a mobile DJ about 3-4 yrs ago (and a lil later in life than most!). I'm also a concert & event photographer, multimedia journalist, event emcee/trivia host, and admitted music junkie. More of a boutique DJ, I do medium sized events and always looking to learn and improve - in everything in life!

Welcome Sherri,

Always nice to have a little "Loud Girl" in the mix. ;)
This is not your average forum. It's better. You will certainly make some great contacts and have a solid exchange of information and comradery.

Cheers from Boston

oh yeah, and stop by the Arcade to kill a little time, maybe you'll find a fun little game to spend some time with. I have one that I sometimes play called "Somethang Fishy"... :)

Hey Everyone! Hope that you're off to a good start in 2019. My name is Ed - - Night Owl DJs and have been a solo-operator full time since 2005 but have deejayed in some capacity since the fall of 1991. I was a member of DJ Chat and actually created an account on Our DJ Talk a few years ago, but have taken some time off of social media, forums etc and looking to sneak in again and see how everyone is doing. . . . Which . . . How Ya' Doin'?

For those old and new here is a brief breakdown of what I do in this ever changing, fun and crazy community of ours: I have been fascinated with electronics for as long as I care to remember and have dorked out over many an audio system/setup over the years. I am primarily a Mobile DJ/Sound/AV company that focuses on weddings. I do my fair share of corporate events and private parties, but enjoy the formality and complexity of weddings the most. I have, also, been doing mobile A/V for the last 6-years and have grown enjoy the challenges that come with that type of event . . . especially the equipment aspect. I have not ventured into capturing video (outside of the random static video recording of a conference) but may eventually dabble more into video editing, creation.

There have been some stressful times running my business, but at the end of the day I am very grateful to be working for myself and doing something that I enjoy.

Looking forward to reaching out to new people on this forum and rekindling old friendships from past forums.

Welcome back Ed .. I believe we had a few conversations over on DJ Chat.

No need to “sneak in” Ed. Just BARGE right in and plop yourself down![emoji1]

As for how I’m doin’... not so good today. Got this crick in my neck, achy joints, and feelin’ every bit my age.[emoji1] But nobody really cares about that; right? Thanks for askin’ though.[emoji1]

Good to be back!!! A few aches and pains over here too :)
@steve - Yeah, we had a few conversations over the years and always value your opinion on things. Still using my DXR10's over DXS12's and have been VERY happy with that setup for 5-years this past November.

I'm new to forums and how they work so bear with me I'm finding my feet lol
