I have an 622 and a 733 unit. On the 733 unit I have 1 mic that has very week volume unless you are touching it to your mouth. If you hold it more that 1/2" from your mouth it does not want to pick up.

I don't see any adjustments on the unit or mic for this, am I missing something?

Perhaps the gain on the receiver? If you have an LED screen on the receiver - does the VU move when you talk?

The gain on that channel is up to about 90%.

As for the VU meter, if I have my mouth more that about 1/2" from the mic the meter only moves just very little, but when I touch the mic with my mouth the meter jumps most all the way over.

I have 4 GTD mics and this is the only one that does this.

I hate to tell you this, but sometimes a GTD mic just goes bad. I have a G-622 and one of the mics suddenly started sounding tinny... for no apparent reason. No big deal, I was planning to replace one of the hand-helps with a lapel mic anyway. If there’s any up side it’s that you won’t have to spend an arm and a leg to replace it. So just buy a new mic and move on. It doesn’t happen often.[emoji4]

Buy a replacement mic. It's $40.

...or ... buy another brand that doesn't fail as often ... :)
