You can use the DJ2 Go and be fine for a mobile jock as well...The only issue might be "Fat Fingers" or simply just not being comfortable using the platters
Yes you could .. it would STILL be cheap and certainly not "professional" though .. :)

I have one simply for access to a physical pause/play button .. I would never try to mix on it.

The biggest failing of the DJ2GO and DJ2GO2 is no EQ adjustments, no mic input, and the physical weakness of the micro USB connector.

The first two can be offset with an external mixer - which IMHO unfortunately offsets the whole purpose of using a small controller on a gig - but still useful for practice.

It's still a "toy" from a functional and build level .. I have 3 of them (DJ2Go, DJ2Go2 and Behringer CMD-Micro) .. all I might use for a specific purpose .. none of which I would classify as "professional".

...If they aren't professional (As in to be used at a gig where money is being made) then why did you buy 3 of them?

...Yes, they are cheap. But they are very functional interfaces. Just have to familiarize yourself, and willing to work on a small controller...As long as someone doesn't need the bells and whistles, and extra effects that a Club DJ would want/need...these lower end controllers can work just fine.

Here’s one I would like to understand... If the Pioneer DDJ-SB is a toy, what is the DDJ-Wego? Why does the Wego cast more (about $50 more)? Why does Pioneer need to make three toy controllers (the SB, DJ2GO and the Wego)?

Yes, they work fine .. as apparently the GTD mics do for some .. still not professional .. :)

Not sure .. even consumers want choices ...:)

Pioneer even has as part of the Wego intro blurbs, this: The DDJ-WeGO is an ultra-compact DJ Controller that enables consumers and music enthusiasts alike to mix their own music creatively.

Well... I guess I’ll find out about the DDJ-Wego, ‘cause I’m gettin’ one. It’s like I said; some of us can never have too many toys.[emoji1]

Got myself an ALMOST new DDJ-WeGO3 for $152.99. I love buying cheap DJ toys.[emoji1] I’m gonna try it out with my Surface Pro and DJay Pro software, but I might even use it to try Rekordbox.

He's not as much a DJ .. he's a guitarist/DJ and seems that the controller isn't a high priority. Plus he seems to be on a mission to use cheap gear .. sort of like Ricky ..

Wanting to use a cheap azz controller for the "negative" image effect??? Please ..
YEa,,,,not taking much advice from that cheap ass bar dj! What the fuck does he do with a guitar at dj show? Sing a solo of reinstone cowboy? That hypocrit probably has a 6,000$ Taylor in that sack!

He seems to be an "entertainer" DJ .. I've seen videos of others that drum or play a keyboard. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and the MC was a saxophonist .. played over many (too many in my opinion) songs .. but it was apparently what the B/G wanted (I guess).

What some people don’t realize is the dj controller is the starting point of your music! I am an audiofile who happens to have a sound company! I am a different kind of dj in my area, and my price point is above most in town, because I bring a lot of equipment and lights, and my sound quality is unmatched by any in my area! I bring twice as many low end cabs as I need, and way more power than I should,,,,, also I run 2 sets of Qsc 12.2’s for my tops! I do this so that I can run all of my equipment nice and easy and CLEAN! I want a controller to have a great d/a section with a lot of voltage output, good separation, low THD, great signal to noise,,,,and so on. We all know about GIGO!

Also depends .. while I have a Denon MC6000v2 as one system, I have another system which uses a Denon DN-HC4500 controller and a Rane MP25 mixer. In that one, the controller is simply a controller, the Rane is the audio conveter.

Everyone uses a controller differently .. you need to identify the features you need and find one that "works" the way you do. Given that it normally IS the component that most things pass through, it does make sense to make sure it is reliable and that it has the quality you need in audio or build. For an all-in-one, it's one of 3 main components (PC and speakers) that heavily influence the sound quality .. might as well make it a good choice.
