You cant force it, either you are , or not, its bloody just as expensive as DJ'ing is, I think in many ways it more or it can be , more so for videography , that camera was $1,245 , I grabbed while on sale from B&H, normally they sell it for the listing price of $1,400.
In all reality, you need that for website videos, a decent DSLR will work, my entry level Nikon 5300 does decent video , full HD of 1080p @60 FPS and about 30mpbs. The downsides to DSLR's are no balanced audio, some dont even have mic inputs, and they all have thanks to the EU, record limits, mine on normal recording stops recording at 20 minutes, high quality stops at 10 minutes. Then there is over heating .
Full frame DSLR's are very popular for shooting , and are widely used believe it not, but those are being use more for cine recording, and those are about double what I paid for this new video camera. This camera is geared more for news style, ENG documentry type filming and is more inline what I am do with my one Youtube channel.
I mainly bought this camera for my Youtube channel, and I having so much fun with the whole video stuff, now, I need to learn how to do more than just basic post work and maybe one day get a much better editing program( something that isnt for the consumer)
