I really looked hard at some Turbosound subs. At the end of the day, the specs looked like they were practically made up and actual reviews gave a less-than-stellar assessment to their entire product line. Not sure if these fall into that same category but it's doubtful that a company that makes everything else crappy would make one particular item stellar.

It’s sad Turbosound used to be a well respected manufacturer

My guess is Behringer is looking to stratify its offerings and the 10 year warranty may be a way to do it for speakers. What lays unknown is whether 10 years means a long time between issues or that Behringer has decided to pay out multiple times and the speaker may spend a bit of time revisiting the plant.

Apparently it's not just speakers. It includes a number of other subsidiaries of Music Tribe as well.

Again, probably a good marketing ploy to keep customers buying that gear.

Still doesn't mean there won't be a decline in "craftsmanship" (they may just decide to pay out for fixes instead) .. we won't know for a few years to come. Maybe it will raise the quality of some of the Behringer products .. we can only hope.

I was asked to bring a laptop over to a warehouse that several sound production companies work out of.

They had the Turbosound IP3000 set up and wanted to test several types of music.

I will say from my point of view from DJ work that was a very impressive sound system. It was Loud and clear, much louder that MY Evox 8.

The big draw back was it will need some type of case to pack it in to make transport better and safe.

Not as portable as the EVOX 8 at 114 pounds though ... Turbosound made some nice stuff (though the purple boxes were, well, weird) .. and these probably sound good.

The specs are impressive... if specs are to be believed.[emoji4] The weight and (lack of a ) case for transporting would be an issue for me. The (sale) price is GREAT!!!... MSRP... not so much.[emoji4]
I like the Bluetooth!

If the company is soo crappy, how come they offer a 10 year warranty?

I suspect they have done the research and realize many if not most DJ's will roll over gear 2 or 3 times in 10 years

They do offer speaker bags for this model separately. I'm assuming the bags are also the same quality as the iP2000 model as well which they are a tight fit and offer decent protection. They have similar thickness and padding as the newer functional Yamaha DXS/DXR speaker covers. I'm not the kind of person who throws equipment around, but I've said it before if you are, you probably don't want to get column speakers even with covers. I also get nervous if kids are running around or drunkies are near by. :nono:

Bringing up this thread again...

Just picked up a pair of Turbosound IP3000's.

Because we are building a house and moving soon, we are living at my in-laws and they are sitting in the dining room, still in the boxes. Hope to unbox and try them soon.

I wish I knew how to post video here.

I tried, but the file was too large.
Use YouTube. Post the video on there. Once it's loaded on the right click on the numbers below the video and hit copy. Come on here and right click again. Go to paste and click the link. The video should appear..

Looks like a lot of companies are making this kind of setup. Even Harbinger (which is Guitar Center's brand) has one. I'm surprised some companies like Yamaha haven't come up with one yet.
