Pulselocker Streaming Music Service Closes Down

But on all of these streaming stuff - I quite frankly don't have a problem with not having someone request. Obviously you need a competent base of music. But I never make any claim to have every song ever made. If I don't have somebody's obscure country request... it makes my life a little easier in saying no to playing it.
Rebekah likes to be able to provide pretty much anything requested and sometimes at Sweet 16 parties I cringe when she does it....

My thinking is if you haven't previewed the song you have no clue the content and I don't want anything profane or explicit being played. Even on DJ pools, I have downloaded "Clean" versions which have words that I wouldn't call clean....

Those that lost the service...can't they switch to Spotify?
Technically, Spotify is only licensed for DJ use through the DJay app. The other DJ streaming service is ContentUnlimited with VDJ.

I have downloaded lots of songs that were clean and contained no profanity, but the lyrics were still on the risqué side.[emoji4] There are times when songs that talk about taking your clothes off and touching are just not appropriate.[emoji1]

Whatever happened to "I want to hold your hand"?[emoji1]

It takes quite a bit of experience and confidence to move from being responsive to a guest request into being more of a gatekeeper and filter. She'll get there.

We had 1 sweet 16 dad send the list over of what the girl wanted. Tee Grizzley's From the D to the A was on the list. Ummm....even with a clean version (which would pretty much be instrumental) I still wouldn't play it. The whole theme of the song is a too far over the edge for a 16 year old, I think. And, when you play clean versions the kids are scream singing it to each other adding the words back in half the time.

Do you really think they were talking about hands ;)

I've been using Spotify with the DJ pro app More and more.

I'll use an iPad for ceremony, cocktail hours in separate location, and smaller retail gigs
